The low hum of conversation was pleasant. Drinks were reasonably priced for the city, and the portions were generous. A straightforward, no-frills establishment that gets the job done without breaking the bank. Worth a look if you're nearby.
Perhaps the mecca of dive bars. One of the highlights of my visit to Philly. Bartender and patrons were friendly. Incredible vibe.
One of the last bastions of a real neighborhood bar. Dark, dingy, with cheap drinks, friendly bartenders, and a lively crowd. I stopped in after many years away from Philly and it's still the same place I feel in love with so many years ago. $4 shot and beer in 2026 is a welcome anomaly from overpriced and overly complicated cocktails. As close as it gets to perfection for dive bar aficionados!
