I’m from New York, we have the best Chinese food in the country except for San Francisco. I know good Chinese food. This place is just like a lot of the takeout joints in New York City in Queens Brooklyn everywhere. I highly recommend this place. Some shady characters hanging out in front of the place every so often and of course on that side of Broad Street they only take cash. That’s the only downside.
Place doesn't look as good as their food. Long-standing family run business. Chicken wings seasoned perfectly u don't need to add extra seasonings. I absolutely love their shrimp and chicken fried rice with gravy!!!!! their food rice is authentic Chinese fried rice.

San Lok is hands down, the best tasting Chinese Food in the CITY OF PHILADELPHIA!!!! I met Sue (the owner) in 1978! We were both in the delivery room of Pennsylvania Hospital giving birth to our first child!!! She only has one child; a son who has been working in the business ever since he could reach the stove!!!I went on to have 2 more children!!! We stay in contact and we will always be friends!
