I've been wanting to try Scarpetta for awhile now. We had reservations for restaurant week but had to cancel, so I was especially excited about finally getting here. I don't know where to begin because everything was fabulous. The drinks were on point. The focaccia... oh the focaccia. Delish. I broke my “always order the burrata” rule because I wanted to try the octopus since you can't get it everywhere and it has to be cooked just right to be good. It was perfect and a great way to begin the meal. The pastas are all homemade and incredibly delicious. We had the tortellini and the gnocchi and they literally melted in your mouth. We also had the scallops and the NY strip and each was cooked properly and an explosion of taste. Though we were stuffed, it was my birthday dinner, so dessert was a must. That was fabulous as well. They wrote Happy Birthday on the plate and even though I tried to prevent the singing, my boyfriend insisted and the staff sweetly complied. Sal was our waiter and he made the evening very special and enjoyable. We also loved Seamus at the valet station. Well done Rittenhouse and Scarpetta! I will absolutely return.

It was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. The food and service were incredible. All pasta made in-house. Wine suggestions from our server were perfect. The atmosphere is fine dining yet modern. It feels fresh and not dated. All with extremely resonable prices compared to other places in the city of a similar dining experience/ expectation. Would give 100 stars if I could.
Excellent food and service! I highly recommend any of the pasta dishes, which were outstanding! All of the food, however, is excellent. Service was outstanding as well! An overall very enjoyable experience.

We celebrated my twin daughters birthday there with family. Our waiter Sal and his team were FANTASTIC! The food was INCREDIBLE! We ate until we were full and enjoyed everything about Scarpetta!AMAZING I'd the word that comes to mind!

Bartender woman in charge has a very nasty attitude from the beginning we were asking for a drink that my friend had last time he was here. When he was describing the drink to the bartender she said “Right here is the menu you can look at it and if is on there let me know!” Very ruddy. She also got another customer involved asking him “You seen everything right?” Which was very unprofessional and unpleasant. Manager came and apologized on her behalf but during our time at the bar she keep being dismissive of us when we were asking for extra drinks. Food was amazing though that im very happy about.MANAGEMENT PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW. PLEASE LIKE HER CAN DAMAGE YOUR BUSINESS IN A POOR WAY WHICH IS BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE COMING FROM YOUR HEAD BARTENDER.

We had an excellent meal at Scarpetta. The spaghetti was incredible. Best we've ever had. The cod with cabbage delicious and cooked perfectly. Ryan, our server, was top-notch. A+
Service was slow due to not enough servers handling the floor when it was crowded. The food was good but too many spices on the Bronzino and the Bolognese taste more like taco sauce with all the spices. We had to return the Bolognese.
A little bit of a delay upon arrival to be seated (8 pm reservation, seated by 820) which wasn't a big deal as we were able to get drinks from the bar while we waited, and the drinks were very good. Our table and service were great, and the food was delicious! My only complaint was that I found five pieces of crab shell in my entree (basil gnocchi with lump crab and preserved lemon). For the price I paid for it that was definitely frustrating. But overall the restaurant had a great ambiance and the service was excellent.

We had a large group in the private dinning room. The wait staff did an excellent job expediting dinner service. All the food was exceptional. If you are looking for a private room for dinner to rent, this place is a great option for your next event.

1st time at Scarpetta - Service by Sal was impeccable! The restaurant itself was nice with some 2-person tables along the window overlooking Rittenhouse Square. Portion sizes were perfect and the sauces were good. The bread basket was delicious and the dips were good. The bolognase was only so so and too heavy. The short rib agnilotti was delicious. The strip steak was ok but a bit overcooked and not really worth the price to me. Too bad they aren’t BYO. Overall a good experience, though a bit overpriced with food you can beat elsewhere in Philly.

We always enjoy the view of Rittenhouse Square from Scarpetta - it is a perfect match to the great food and service. This time I particularly enjoyed the duck - a generous portion very well prepared.
