Staff are super friendly, the chai is the best in the neighborhood and the bagels are really solid for Philly!

Schmear Bagel Parlor - 44th St is a gem of a spot in West Philly. It is a very small shop that gets crowded in the AM, but the staff are very cool people who are very nice and friendly. They make extremely delicious and comforting food. The 10/10 bagel and coffee is great, and the coffee is great. Popular sandwiches include the Cali on a sesame, the Loxsmith on an everything, and the hot honey, wake n bacon and pino breakfast sandwiches. The eggs taste fluffy and fresh. The impeccable bacon, egg, and cheese on a chewy everything bagel with scallion shmear and cooper sharp is a standout. They also serve Rival Bros coffee and have amazing popsicles and ice cream sandwiches. The playlist is always great, and the food and service are both great. It is a cute little place with good food and better service.
