The owners are super friendly and really know their stuff! I recommend following them on instagram to know when their hours are and to come here earlier than later! They usually sell out pretty quickly (like 10-11am). Free street parking under the bridge nearby. The few times we came here, we had to wait in line, but it’s definitely worth it! Their pretzel bagels and their cheddar everything bagels are our favorites!

The absolute best spot for a bagel in Philadelphia and it’s not close. The lines for this place everyday are well deserved.
Got an assortment of bagels and everyone was freshly baked with a crunchy exterior and cheey interior. Lots of seeds and flavoring on each one.
The bread, croissants, and anything else you can get your hands on is worth it. Fantastic spot.

as far as classic, artisanal pastries go, they cant be beat in philly. add on their bagels with vegan cream cheese (plus related bagel accoutrements), and youve got a solid breakfast spot.
This place is the ultimate bakery for fresh bread. The owners are such nice people that i mostly just show up to chat them up at the register, well except for it would make me feel bad as a person that there food is so good and why should i deserve such good food, if not for the fact that the food is so fresh and tastes so good that it actually is on the same level of the warmth and positive energy you feel as soon as you manage to get inside after waiting on the extremely long line, like the new iphone just came out but we are all waiting for a bagle or a fancy muffin (brioche or something its only available on sundays) after taking one bite i feel like this amazing feeling: watch our world here i come! i may not be perfect, but with good food and good
friends no matter how many times i get knocked down i can always get back up again.
There’s a line around the block in the morning and it is for good reason. Excellent bagels, super bubbly and chewy(how they should be). I don’t think these bagels need toasting at all. The cheddar is my favorite, and they have fun specialty cream cheeses. I found it unusual that the everything bagel didn’t have any salt, so I probably wouldn’t get this again but man, the cheddar bagel is unreal.

Check out their Instagram for what they are making for the day. Get there early—7:45am or 8am. They are usually sold out by 9:30-10am. Quality over quantity and absolutely worth it. The bagels, croissants, and breads are made with love. The cold brew is delicious too.

Easily these are the best bagels in Philly, I buy them by the dozen, and when I’m not doing that, I’m getting one slathered with tofutti and capers to -go. Don’t sleep on their vegan pastries (or their sandwich loaves, but don’t let that secret out!). They are very sensitive to vegan preferences and often support vegan businesses themselves! The croissants are very flaky; I grew up eating a richer, denser croissant which is probably wrong but I can’t help it, now that’s what I prefer. But it’s not like anyone else in Philly is making even vegan croissants, (and if they are, they suck) so I will still go for a KB croissant when the mood strikes ? came for the bagels, will come back for the croissants?
Street parking nearby. Come a few minutes before 8 and there’s already a long line. The line moved not too quickly. They seem to sold out around 9:30 - 10 so come early.
With that said, that quality is good but not crazy good. The bagel was okay. Not impressed with the dough or crust. I requested it to be heated. I ate right away but it wasn’t even warm. The cream cheese was good. I asked for garlic and chive cream cheese but I couldn’t taste the garlic at all.
The croissant was good.
Overall good place, but not out of this world good. Decent.
They do not always have their charcoal bagel.

Expect to wait in line on weekends around 30 min. They run outta bagels fast, so get there early. The chocolate rosemary focaccia is wonderful. The bagels are prob third best in the city. The pretzel bagels are the bomb. Probably better than the regular bagels. Go to Vanilya for the best bagel in the city. Kettle Black is no slacker tho - these are top notch.
WARNING: delicious but they sell out within 90 minutes of opening! We got there 110 mins after opening and they were all sold out!

I am so happy I found this spot when I took a day trip to Philly recently. I can’t believe the vegan items they had. The pretzel was the best pretzel I’ve ever had. The funfetti cruffin was to die for. The bagels are vegan and the sourdough bread had me drooling!
