The diner experience is usually reserved for meat eaters, plates piled high with dead animal parts. The Tasty wrestles back this slice of Americana for the cruelty-conscious. Nestled on the corner of a sleepy street, this vegan eatery offers diner cuisine with some welcome twists. This time I stuck to the staples: Biscuits and Gravy and a Fried Chicken Sandwich. Both were quality options.

We have been here several times now, and the food is always so good. My favorites so far are the dirty jersey river style and the deluxe burrito. My wife also just had the pumpkin spice latte, and it was probably the best one I've ever had: nice latte art and perfect level of sweetness/pumpkin spice.

The tasty is a crown jewel of vegan eateries in Philadelphia. Busy on the weekends so hit them up on a weekday to get that stars hollow cafe kind of feel. Perfect window seats for watching dogs come and go from the nearby park. Crowded? Food to go in the park is a blast!

We came for breakfast and ordered French toast, pancakes and a breakfast hoagie. Everything was very good and filling, service was fast and friendly, the price was reasonable. I can recommend the pancakes with blueberries!

I wouldn’t recommend trying to dine in on a weekend at brunch o’clock or it’ll take at least 30 minutes to get a table. I got the tofu scramble and my partner got a biscuit with the bacon gravy. The scramble was not bad. My partner ate the fries since I don’t like them. Neither of liked the bacon gravy at all. It was very coconuty. Overall it was pretty disappointing considering the rave reviews for this place.

Back at the tasty it’s been a little while since I’ve been here about a month. This is the third time I’m here with a friend this time. I decided to have a pork roll egg and cheese called the dirty jersey and it was fantastic. My friend had a biscuit and gravy Bayou style. That was also excellent. Their dirty chai latte was spot on service was great such a nice place. It’s a pleasure to come here and always get great food and such a nice relaxing setting.
I had a dirty jersey river style on everything philly muffin. It was tasty, flavorful, and filling. The cheese taste like real cheddar. I need extra "pork" roll next time!!

I’ve been here twice and while the food is pretty good, I’ve had rude service twice. Today I was ignored for five minutes until another staff member (who was already helping someone) told a non-busy staff member to speak to me… weird vibes for a vegan restaurant

I hate that I have to do this but I’m so disappointed. Today was my self care day. This morning I decided to try a new place for breakfast to start off my day. I spent about $52. I bought the biscuits and gravy, French toast, donut, and tater tot bowl. EVERYTHING tasted awful. It either tasted soggy, spoiled or made with old/stale oil. The last thing I tried was the Tator tot bowl and thought I was safe because how can you mess up tofu scramble and potatoes ? Well, there was a short strand of hair in there. I do have pictures. Honestly, I was excited to try this place and thought I was going to add it to my collection of cool vegan spots. Besides the horrible food experience and waste of money, the person that took my order was friendly. Unfortunately I wouldn’t eat from here again even if they offered free food to accommodate my experience. I’m cool and I won’t look back
