My fiancé and I stopped in for a dinner date and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience from start to finish! Matt and Angelina were both incredibly hospitable and our food and cocktails were perfect! We've been patronizing Village Whiskey for a while so we were stoked to try out some of the new menu items. No misses here! We highly recommend the Smoked Wings, Hush Puppies w/ Blue Crab, Blackened Catfish and Shrimp Po'Boy. For dessert, we opted for the Chocolate Bourbon...
Great food, great ambiance, great service. Our waiter was Barney and he was real chill. Had the new smoked wings... not as good as the wings they used to have a couple years ago but still pretty good. Village Burger and the duck fat fries w/ cheese were phenomenal. Also, they do have a gluten free bun for those with sesame seed allergies.
My husband and I have been to VW multiple times, and this was the first occasion on which we dined in the more spacious and quieter dining room. It was a treat to be in the library-inspired ambience. I had a pleasing citrusy NewZealand Sauvignon Blanc; my husband ordered an intriguing red-tinted thyme-infused gin drink, rather like a bitter. It was reminiscent of Campari. Service was fine, although at a certain point the server became bogged down with the demands of other diners....
