I had the tasting menu before a show and it was definitely worth it! The grilled octopus was well balanced and cooked, and even more fresh with the lemon. The presentation was excellent and conveyed the expectation of delicious food to follow. My favorite may have been my dessert which was an elevated Swiss roll - the salted caramel sauce was incredible and the cake itself was nice and light. I have been meaning to try volver since it opened but rarely go out for fine dining. Was walking by when it opened at 4:00 on a Saturday afternoon and was able to snag seats at the bar. The cocktails were good. The octopus was slightly overcooked but great flavor. The hihhlight was the tinned fish toast with gooseberries. Jose sure does have a way with tinned fish! Delightful.

Excellent! They didn't attempt to compensate with larger portions. Each dish was flavorful and well thought out. Presentation was beautiful. The setting is cozy and relaxing. The staff were friendly and engaging. After a long week, it was a delight to enjoy a great conversation in this atmosphere over fantastic eats!
