“Excellent coffee. Friendly helpful staff, and I say that not as a throw-away easy compliment. Out of a total of three visits I can think of the barista being unexpectedly kind each time.

On one occasion my partner rushed in to let our toddler use the toilet then offered to buy something but was met with reassurances there was no need. He gave her a free coffee.

Decor and vibes not my vibe. This is why I drink my coffee at home.“

“Really cute charming space close to everything. Walked here from rittenhouse in a few minutes to catch a negroni on top and some amazing wine. Simple clean selection of incredible spirits especially this super rare Norden Aquavit seasonal! We shared a charcuterie board and something else I can remember but everything was excellent perfect place to start or end the night for us. I think there was an upstairs with more seating and even some two tops outside. Caught a really great sunset while we finished some wine and snacks before venturing out. I think the negroni was on tap and it was delicious.“

The only negative for this being a wine bar is, despite the rather robust wine bottle list, the selection of wine by the glass is limiting. Just 7 total.“

“This was me and my fiances first time at City Winery. We were greeted by the Hostess Susan who was very informative of upcoming promotions and she even offered a tour of the establishment. The wait was not long as we were seated pretty quickly. The service was phenomenal the server Cel was welcoming and had me and my fiancé laughing and enjoying ourselves from the moment we were seated. Cel made several suggestions on food as well as drinks. During the visit we learned that Cel is a bartender as well and invited us to come back which we will. The Braised Short Rib was flavorful and was a rather large portion. My fiancé had the Branzino he loved it and was ready to order one to go. Will recommend this place to all of our friends and family. We will be back for the Vivian Green show in May.“

“I was looking to see if Rose garden has a take out option, I see all of these bad reviews. The many times I’ve been here, the food, drinks, and the service was AMAZING!!!! I HATE lamb, but My friend made me take a bite of the lamb chop! OMG it was so full of flavor!!! Crab cakes, shrimp & grits, chicken wings, sweet potato fries, omg the Brussel sprouts are FINGER LICKING GOODT!!!! Don’t let me get started on how delicious the drinks are! “my fiance and I were in Philly (from Maine) and she treated me to Osteria for my birthday dinner. The service was amazing throughout the meal, I wish I got the servers name as he was really an incredibly friendly young man who clearly knew the menu very well. The atmosphere is wonderful and the interior is just lovely. In terms of the food, I had the wild boar bolognese which was a special that night, and it was AMAZING!! Really, all the food was impeccable, from the focaccia to our mains. Super pleased and the next time I’m in town, I will most definitely be coming back!!“

The manager Timothy Fisher stopped by our table twice to check on us and as we were on our way out, he ran up the stairs to hand us my girlfriend's purse which was left at our table. “Incredible experience. Great location, vibe, service, staff, interior, drinks and food. We made reservations in advance good thing as around 6pm on a Monday it started to get a little lively. We started with two cocktails the new class same teacher? And the poor Helen. Both nice little riffs on classic cocktails. The same teacher was top notch. For starter we had the chicken Milanese which was outstanding. Then we split a fennel and sausage pie. I finished with a neat averna. I wish I had more room for dessert. Most importantly the entire evening was made effortlessly cool by the entire staff. From being greeted to being sat. The server especially the server was on top of everything and a real pleasure to chat up. All the food came out promptly and anytime we were low on something , someone was there to check in on us. Even tho it was getting quite busy everyone had cool composure and kept things moving pleasantly. “We had a great night at the Meetinghouse. Great atmosphere on a Thursday night. Place was buzzing. We had some super food, a small menu but perfect. Kinda like tapas if you want to share. Tried the mystery wine, a gamble that didn't pay off for us, it was like a fruit wine. Safer with the white. Staff and service were excellent. Friendly place and enjoyed chatting to some locals. “This place is great! Service was great and our server/the staff was so attentive. Food was delicious, the family style is perfect in terms of serving sizes! We got the tuna crudo and squash arancini for starters. Then we got the mushroom tortellini, penne ala vodka, and the chitarra with meatballs. Dessert we had like a white chocolate pudding, and an apple pastry. Everything was delicious - our only complaints are that the mushroom pasta was slightly over salted, the peas in the penne felt a bit too hard and undercooked, and the desserts were a bit too sweet for my taste. Our favorites were the tuna, chitarra, and arancini. I recommend making a reservation but we walked in and sat at the chefs table (first come first serve) and it was so much fun watching them make our meal (shoutout to the chefs working tonight)! Note: I cant speak on regular serving sizes and their affordability/value since we only got family style.“

“So happy we stumbled upon this hidden gem after going to an event in the area. The atmosphere is really nice & we sat at the bar. We had amazing bartender, Kem, who was very personable and offered great food and drink suggestions and friendly conversation. The drinks were excellent and the pizza was even better. “I went to Jet Wine bar for a Halloween movie night with a friend. They were understaffed but they still went above and beyond to take care of us. Food and drinks were excellent. We watched the movie inside even though they were only serving outside. It was so kind and really an unnecessary accommodation they made for us to enjoy our time there.
