Black Lab is consistently good. The food is unpretentious but delicious, and the service is always good. The place can get a little loud when crowded, but not intolerable. Had the Roasted Brussel Sprouts and Spicy Lamb Spagetti Bolognese. The Bolognese wasn't spicy so much as a little hot, problably used red pepper flakes in the prep of the sauce, and was very tasty. Definitely would order it again.
Great food! Reasonable prices. We were four people. We ordered the Brussels sprouts to share, soooo good, crispy, a little acidic, sprinkled with some delicious chunky bacon and I'm all ready to go back for more. I had the large and packed with lump meat crab cakes, delicately fried, accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked asparagus. There was 3 of us celebrating. The food was amazing. I had the beef short ribs that were so tender I did not need a knife. My friends had the salmon and they said it was seasoned perfectly. Service was excellent.
