“Since it opened, Carter's Table has been a great lunch spot for me and my friends. We love the atmosphere and ability to interact with the owner, Shawn Carter. This same level of hospitality is hard to find in State College, and he does a great job welcoming everyone. I would highly recommend stopping by and trying their Taco Flight. It is a great price for the quality of food you receive!”

“We've loved going to the creamery since we were students and went to the original creamery. Penn State did a great job years ago when they relocated the creamery. They kept the original concept but expanded and updated it. PSU ice cream, cheese and milk are always on are list whenever we visit.”

“Best coffee in town. Fresh menu with new specials all the time. Best soft pretzels in Centre County. Best burgers in town. Kindest service around! Restaurant is small but a buzzing, comfortable atmosphere. They have a piano inside and some outdoor tables too. Nothing beats their ingredients & the prices are worth the quality. Bring quarters for parking!”

“Campus Steaks is the best cheesesteak you'll get in the area! The staff are all incredibly friendly and have great recommendations. The chicken cheesesteak was perfect, and I reccomend paying the extra $1 or $2 for the toppings they offer! We will 100% be back many more times.”

“What this restaurant does well, it does particularly well. The carbonara is excellent, and easily their top entrée. The limoncello makes for an excellent dessert. Conversely, other entrées, such as the flounder, are okay but not necessarily the best you'll have. The location's ambience is very inviting, conveying, a sense of intimacy and elegance. The service is very good and attentive. It very much has the feel of a date night destination on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday evening.”

“This cute little cafe is a hidden gem with vegetarian options!I stopped in with my family while on a road trip and got the BEST vegetarian borscht that I've ever had. They also have the most delicious stuffed pastries that they serve hot if you're dining in. We got the spinach and cheese pastry and also a mashed potato and mushroom pastry. One stuffed pastry is a nice size for a light lunch, especially with a cup of borscht, but we loved the pastries so much that we got some to go, too!My only regret is that this wonderful cafe is so far from home!Vegetarian options: Phenomenal stuffed pastries. There were three vegetarian options, and the two that we got were amazing!Kid-friendliness: There was a high chair and they were so sweet with our two kids. They were feeling picky today, but I think other kids would love the pastries and soups! There is no changing table for babies in the bathroom, though, so you may need to stop elsewhere afterwards if a little one needs a fresh diaper.”

“So from the perspective of a Lebanese woman: Life changing Halal truck for Middle Easterners in State college!! I’m from Detroit with family in Dearborn and I haven’t found any food out here that can compare to the amazing dishes I eat back home and make myself. UNTIL NOW! This is the best Halal Truck EVER!! The one on Pugh street is a scammin sham compared to these guys!! They’re tucked in a space on Calder by Cafe Alina and I assure you, you will not regret it. The lamb melts in your mouth, the chicken is so savory, fish is phenomenal, the white sauce is ON POINT, and they make their own homemade hot sauce!! And they’re so nice!! I found this place about a week and a half ago and have been there about seven times since ? Please check them out!!Seriously. Better than penn kabob, penn pide, totally blows pita cabana out the water, and makes the other trucks look like a joke. I know my Arab food ?”

“We had a great meal, the food and service was excellent. The boneless wings app is enough for an entree and very tender and juicy. The chili Mac was very good, as were the baked beans. The sausage medallions were very tasty and the peppers were fresh. I will go back for the garlic mashed potatoes”

“Great drinks, and that's all there needs to be. Love the matcha, and the fruit tea selections are amazing! Menu is clear and lets you easily make any edits. Have not had the food, but have heard only good things about it. One of the best new tea places in State College, though it can be pricy.”

“Vibe is a perfect college town coffee shop. The workers are friendly, the atmosphere is ideal, and the coffee is top notch. I've only eaten a blueberry muffin there, but it was great, and I would imagine their other food is quality too. Highly highly recommend to anyone living in or visiting State College/Penn State.Parking: There's free street parking right around the corner on Barnard Street. Free for 2 hours.Kid-friendliness: My 4-year-old sat there with me, no problems.”

“Excellent atmosphere, good appetizers (the chili lime french fries were quite spicy); however, it does not take much for me to reach my spice Limit. The Barrell Burger was awesome. First ever ribeye blend burger I had, and the bacon was top of the line and nice n crispy on the edges. My boss had the Delmonico Steak and loved it.”

“Absolutely fabulous bakery to order a custom cake from! I could not be happier with the cake and outstanding customer service. I shared my vision with Tatiana for a custom graduation cake and she did an excellent job. Our guests were wowed! On top of that, she and her team were so accommodating when we had a last minute date change. Thank you, Tatiana and team!”
“First time visiting and it was a cool experience. I’m not much of a beer person but I actually enjoyed their selections. It was a very busy time yet the service was great and prompt. The vibe of the space is really cool and very clean. I’ll be back!”

“Been coming here for over 20 years, still my #1 choice! The Original Waffle Shop on West College Ave has been a State College staple for me for as long as I can remember. They've consistently delivered delicious breakfasts and lunches for over two decades. Whether I'm back in town for a visit or just passing through, it's always my go-to spot. Highly recommend their sandwiches and their waffles (of course!), but everything on the menu is fantastic. Don't miss it! 5 stars!”

“Sher Halal Gyro has become a personal favorite for its consistently fresh, halal, and delicious meals. One of the most remarkable aspects is the speed and efficiency with which they operate. Despite the fast-paced nature of street food, the team never compromises on quality or taste. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite on your lunch break or indulging in a leisurely meal, you can count on prompt and courteous service. The staff is always ready with a smile and a friendly greeting, making you feel welcome from the moment you approach the cart.”

“One of my favorite cafe/bakery. Black sesame latte and black sesame cake is amazing. I highly recommend these products especially if you have never tried.Additionally, their Taiwanese pineapple pie is wonderful. As I know, the owner/baker is Taiwanese. As a person who traveled Taiwan twice staying over a month, I can guarantee it is also very authentic. Good for a gift (they give a cute box for it).Very nice staffs. You can reserve whole cake in advance, too.”
“Exquisitely well planned and thought out brewery. Every detail was meticulously considered - fixtures, lighting, decor, seating - everything looks top quality. The outdoor space is large and includes corn hole and tables with fire pits! All to naught if the beer is bad right? But it’s also very good - crafted expertly to style, or sometimes a unique combo. They take pride in serving other local central PA products - coffees, sodas, wines, cider, and spirits. A tremendous success five minutes from the state college border.”

“The omelette that I had here was perfectly cooked. It wasn’t overdone and it also wasn’t mushy. The space is clean, and the servers are attentive. This is definitely a cute spot, and I will be dining here again in the future!”
“This is a little gem of a creamery. I tend to spread the love around between all of the local creameries (Reedsville, Old Mill, Meyers), which we are so lucky to have so many, but Meyers is my main love. It's been around since I can remember, and no other creamery has better chocolate milk, NONE. Ice cream is top-notch as well. They carry other fun, locally sourced goods as well, like Cafe Lemont coffee (best local coffee, IMO) and Otto's soda, among other things. Stop in. Get a scoop (or a shake). Do some shopping. You won't be disappointed.”

“Stopped in for Sunday brunch. Our first time here and wanted to check it out based from word of mouth. Seated quickly and server took our drink orders. I had a Bloody Maria after inquiring what the difference was between that and a Mary (tequila instead of vodka). Quite good actually. Probably a new preference. My food order was something called a Capricious Goat. Egg omelette with goat cheese, cherry tomatoes, and arugula. Served with home fries. It was a plateful. Nice mix of flavors. And the goat cheese was local.Hubby got the pretzel bread which came with beer cheese and apple slices. The bread was very interesting and reminded me of dense cornbread. The cheese was also quite different from what we were used to. To me it had an almost pimento spread type vibe. Cold with just a touch of heat.Hubby's other small plate was the beef empanada. Two generous sized pieces with a roja sauce for dipping. Golden brown with a very well seasoned filling.I spied their blackboard on the wall with posted drinks and desserts and my eyes lit up when I saw banoffee pie listed. Since this is something I've always been curious about, we decided to share a slice. The presentation as it was carried to our table was impressive! There it sat on it's own little pedestal. The pie itself was very eye appealing. First bite you could tell it was ooey gooey good with all that caramel. The sliced bananas were just right and that crust was amazing too. Very rich dessert and I'm glad we tried it.Service was outstanding. Now I know why this is a popular place. Looking forward to returning.”

“This place is iconic. It is truly a treasure. I'm told many college students use this cafe- and the living area space- as study areas. I was there for an event, and while I live a while away, I can't wait to try what I did not try.”

“Cute little cafe with great drinks and amazing service! Drinks are delicious, staff are friendly and patient, and the atmosphere is cozy. A great find in State College. Makes me feel even better that a portion of all proceeds go to a good cause. I highly recommend this place whether you're looking for a quick drink or a relaxing study session.”
“Wow, I had a great time here. My boyfriend and I like trying all kinds of ciders from different places. This was one of the best we have ever been to. The cider was excellent and the service was incredible. I wish we lived closer so we could go more often.”
