Passing through and stopped for breakfast. Cozy atmosphere, clean, staff was extremely friendly, service was quick, delicious and healthy portions of home-cooked food, cheap and best of all....locally owned. If you are looking for a place to grab a bite and your in the area, your only cheating yourself if you don't stop at Allegheny Sandwich Shoppe.

Had a wonderful breakfast sandwich, the home fries were delicious. Nick and his staff do a wonderful job, got to meet Helen and she is a pure delight and the atmosphere is fantastic.

Stopped in before a Pitt game simply because it was across the street from the lot we parked in. We were extremely delighted with the food we got there. I had the hot Sicilian salad it was awesome in fact I told the people I was with it was the best salad I ever ate. Others had breakfast and sandwiches all were extremely pleased. This place is friendly, efficient and affordable. I will definitely make this our pregame Pitt stop. It beats the overpriced just another customer spots...read full review
