Balvanera is a fantastic addition to Pittsburgh's culinary scene! Service was friendly and attentive. The ambiance was cozy and nice. Perfect for a nice outing. The food and service were both exceptional. My server Madi had great suggestions, including a great wine pairing for my steak, and is a tremendous asset to the restaurant. Every dish was perfectly executed. Empanadas were crispy and had depth. The steak was cooked perfectly and yet was seared and crispy on the outside. This is an interesting space. A little on the load side but service was really good. We tried a few of the smaller plates and all were very good. The chorizo iberico was tasty and worth trying, the curdo. of yellow tail sashimi with some apple and arauco olive oil was a real hit.
