While working on a road crew I tried this place and was not disappointed. The Pollo Guisado (Stewed chicken, green olives, rice, and beans) was really good. Will eat there again. Highly recommended.
Been there twice now. Good people, good vibes, good food.
The business is well maintained and clean.
This food... everything I taste is so delicious! My favorites are the Pollo Guisado and the empanadas.
Me and my husband went on 5/17/2025 and the food tasted great! We recently moved to Pittsburgh from PR and it was very close to the last meal we had back home. The rice had great texture and seasoning and the pernil too. The tostones with mayo ketchup definitely hit the spot. I would 100% recommend.
We had Food Truck Friday today at AGH, and today Flavor of Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 had their truck here! Ordered the Vegan Empanadas (2 to be precise)… and they were AMAZING! Vegan 🌱 Peeps - check out their brick and mortar restaurant or catch their food truck! The vegan Empanadas were delicious! Spiced perfectly!!!! 10 or of 10 stars 🌟
There is absolutely nothing Puerto rican about this place other than the flag outside, everything is microwaved/out the box
I had an amazing experience at Flavor of Puerto Rico! The food was absolutely delicious and full of authentic Puerto Rican flavors. The rice and beans were perfectly seasoned, the zucchini was fresh and flavorful, and everything was cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, and the presentation was excellent.
Beyond the food, the service was top-notch! The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made sure everything was just right. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a satisfying meal.
If you’re looking for a true taste of Puerto Rico, this is the place to be! Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more.
Thank you for the fantastic meal!
I'm Puerto Rican and this is the worse Puerto Rican restaurant I ever been in The food sucks is cold the service sucks and the young man that was there don't know anything about anything he was confused the whole time if I could give a zero stars I would it's a shame

their chicken and rice is one of the best dishes I've ever had from any restaurant the chicken is not only soft and really good the rice puts all of the flavors together and creates a really great and filling dish

Almost there
Best Puerto Rican in Pittsburgh. Kinda the only puerto rican to be honest but they are definitely holding it down the food was excellent, Pernil, rice, beans, ect all really good. The staff is nice, and it's really nice in there. Ask to sit in the back.

Definitely there's room for improvement. Service was slow and inefficient on a nearly empty restaurant. Food was OK; my rice was halfway cooked and my pork chop a bit over done.
And no alcohol?

Food nothing like pictures
Rice not cooked thoroughly, weird after taste on empanadas, they have an advertisement for coffee but they don’t have any. Eating area not clean.

Worst $40 I ever spent. I went out of my way for PR food and was very disappointed. Both the food and the service were terrible. I don’t know what type of seasoning they used for these beans, but it certainly isn’t Puerto Rican. The rice had a weird color and
The chicken tasted old and had a strange texture. The 1 person working was taking a personal call the entire time we were there. He never checked on us or even spoke one word to us since we had to place our own order on on iPad. Just awful!
