Good Music, but Service Needs Improvement at Jimmy D's Night Club

I recently visited Jimmy D's Night Club and was pleasantly surprised by the music and overall atmosphere - they really know how to create a lively vibe! However, my experience was marred by the service I received from the staff, particularly one of the bouncers.

While the music was great and I enjoyed the energy of the crowd, I found that some of the bouncers were quite rude and unprofessional. It made an otherwise fun night feel uncomfortable. It's unfortunate because the club has a lot of potential with its ambiance and music selection.

I hope the management addresses this issue because it really affects the overall experience. With better customer service, Jimmy D's could be a fantastic place to spend an evening!

Jimmy D’s Bar has completely transformed, thanks to the amazing new bartender, Gus! The atmosphere has gone from mediocre to fantastic. Gus's friendly demeanor, impressive drink-making skills, and creativity have revitalized the bar. He truly knows how to make every customer feel special and always has a great recommendation up his sleeve. The new energy and the expertly crafted cocktails have made Jimmy D’s our go-to spot. Highly recommend!

Staff were fun and friendly. DJ was good. Good crowd without being over crowded. Only complaint is that the bathrooms weren't in the best shape and only 2 stall out of 8 had toilet paper ?

I got my ID almost snapped in half last night because the bouncer said my city was spelled wrong so my ID was fake. I'm 25 years old.. The bouncers here are always a**holes and I don’t recommend even TRYING to get in. It’s not worth it anyways.

A few years ago, this bar used to be decent to go too, but ever since they reopened after the pandemic, they’ve really gone down hill. The staff and bouncers were really rude to us, so much that it was to the point where they were sexualizing and harassing me on my way out! I will never give my business to this “club” again. And I highly suggest other bar hoppers to skip this bar on your night out in South Side. Much better and more respectful bars and clubs in the area than this place!

Place smells like clam chowder and the bouncers are ridiculous have had multiple encounters but this one tops them. Someone in our group set their phone on the bar and lost it. Bouncers would not allow anyone from our group back in saying it's at capacity. Allowed personal friends in right of us, eventually we tracked the phone as they still wouldn't let us in until a girl from our group snuck past and retrieved the phone from the djs booth.

Longtime staple of Southside. Place is fun if you've never been, after a couple times it gets old quickly. The music selection sucks, all they play is the same ole safe songs for the last 12 years.Bartenders are cool, security are some lames.Cash only.
