About Cambod-Ican Kitchen Restaurant

Cambod-Ican Kitchen Restaurant is a Pittsburgh gem run by a great family that has been serving amazing food to the community for years. The combo fried rice and wontons with moon sauce are a must-try, as the moon sauce is spectacular. The shrimp rolls appetizer and tilapia over white rice are fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The marinated grilled chicken tastes just like homemade, and the beef soup is fantastic. The steak over rice has become a personal favorite for many. The shish kebab platter is a go-to favorite, offering large portions that can easily make multiple meals. The moon sauce served on the side is a delightful accompaniment. This family-run restaurant is known for its great service, with staff being super nice and friendly. The food is so good that many order it regularly. The place has hole-in-the-wall vibes but remains cozy, with great decor. Prices are reasonable, with the tilapia entree costing only $10, although it is a little on the expensive side compared to other local ethnic restaurants. They also offer decadent desserts. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and can accommodate dietary restrictions, including a vegan option for stir-fried vegetables with rice or noodles. Payment options include cash only, with an ATM on-site. A huge upside is that they are open past midnight, making it a unique spot in PGH worth checking out. If someone is in the area, they shouldn’t miss out on this outright gem of a restaurant!

Finally got to try this place after wanting to go for a couple of years! Did not disappoint. Delicious food, and importantly, wonderful friendly service. Gives you that down home vibe, that you can immediately trust to be good - homemade with care. We ordered the sampler platter, a soup and fried rice and all were excellent, and again, can't say enough about how warmly we were welcomed. Really glad we stopped while in PGH!
Get the MOON sauce! 😋
The food is always great.
