Cute little store and a classic spot to get dessert after a meal in Shadyside. My favorite flavors are chad's vanilla, mango, and vanilla. All the ice cream is very creamy and has good texture. Good service and everyone is very nice.

The cookie dough ice cream here is amazing. While it may seem like a basic option, the ice cream has an almond or cake batter flavor to it that I enjoy. The staff is here is always super friendly as well.

I have a soft spot for Millie's, because it was my first ever ice cream in Pittsburgh! So creamy and so many delicious flavors available! Follow them on instagram for updates. A bit overpriced but the waffle cones are definitely worth it. Love their coffee break flavor. Service and ambiance are okay, I mostly just go for the ice cream and take it to go

I visited the location in Shadyside on November 22nd around 7:30PM. The customer service was out of this world. I wish I had gotten the names of both employees who were ever so patient with myself and my friend while we were there! We could not make up our minds, tried a few different samples, and took or time contemplating on an ice cream flavor. The patience of both employees a day before the holiday with two annoying & indecisive customers is the reason I'm giving this location five stars. I am a frequent customer at Millies. I enjoy their ice cream and seasonal flavors. I am a huge fan of their waffle cones. The aroma of spices from freshly made cones fills the establishment. They have plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. The Shadyside location always has a sign that advertises the seasonal flavors.

Love Millie's! Arguably a contender for the best dairy-free/vegan ice cream. The mint chocolate chip and brownie batter were both dairy free and were absolutely delicious. It tasted no different from typical ice creams and had that same creamy texture. My friend doesn't eat dairy free but also got the mint ice cream and loved it. The brownie batter is very rich and went really well with the mint. The ice cream in the back isn't dairy free, so I haven't tried it, but my boyfriend loved it. I also like that Millie's rotates their flavors so there's something new to try every now and then. I've loved their rocky road dairy free ice cream too.

Great ice cream spot! I know this is a chain in Pittsburgh, and we have a friend who lives in Shadyside so of course we had to stop in. It's a small store but there are some tables inside and picnic tables outside to sit and enjoy your ice cream. Service was friendly and let us sample a couple of flavors before we made our decision. I went with the non-dairy chocolate and mint chocolate chip and they were LEGIT. So creamy and delicious...my husband got the mint as well and had no idea it was non-dairy! Their regular ice cream is great as well. Millie's is worth the hype. :)

I have tried pistachio ice cream all around Pittsburgh and I think Millie's has the best (if you're looking for real pistachio and not that fake neon green kind!) I like that they rotate flavors often and there is always a more subtle flavor in the mix, like today it was lemon (I was pleasantly surprised they had it as an ice cream, not sorbet). My only criticism is that sometimes I find this ice cream to be too salty depending on the day, which can be overwhelming after one scoop.

Best vanilla ice cream I’ve ever had. The mango is also not to be missed. Millie’s is incredible!

$5 for one singular scoop of ice-cream that tastes store bought. You could go to any other ice cream place and get more for your money or will taste better

As I promised to them at the event, I'm reviewing the vegan Brownie batter ice cream. It's easy because it was delicious and I really appreciated vegan option at the outside event at Spirit here in Pittsburgh. Only one thing is missing to perfection. It's the option sweetened with only dates or coconut sugar or maple syrup. Just some less processed sugar or monk fruit etc. But that's just a side note to make possible to eat even more of it...I really enjoyed full double size of that chocolate Brownie batter flavour, it was decadent, creamy, coconutty, rich, fancy and melting smoothly in mouth. Thumbs up and thank you for making sure (that not only) vegans can enjoy ice cream.

Usually I really enjoy my time here but tonight I went and order a small waffle cone for $7 and what I got was an empty waffle cone with one scope of icecream on top. The person scooping didn’t fill the cone at all. This also met that my cone had no support and broke and was really messy. I hope this is a one time event, though my friend who order after me experienced the same thing. If you only are going to give us one scope- not filling the cone- don’t charge us so much.

I’m allergic to peanuts and mango and they gave me fresh scoops from the ice cream tub and it tasted amazing. Would give it more stars if I could, amazing stuff!

Got the diary free mint chip. It was $5 for a single scoop which was extremely sweet and had an unnatural mint flavour. Left me feeling pretty awful for the rest of the day.
