I agree with the others. the service just isn't there, it feels vaguely unfriendly which is very un-punk of them.not sure what they gain from that attitude when I just wanted to spend money there.

To be honest, this place wasn’t a horrible spot for a quick drink and the scenery isn’t too bad. I just felt a little out of place as a young African American woman in a predominantly goth white bar and felt as though the lack of attentiveness and conversation from the bartender versus her interactions with others soured my experience. I probably wouldn’t come back but it definitely wasn’t the worst bar in Pitt to go to.

I decided to visit here because I looked for some alternative emo bars and this one popped up. When I told the bartender that she was appalled. This wasn’t a very friendly place either. You would think all the misfits fit in here, but that definitely wasn’t the case. Izzy was my bartender and she was definitely not the vibe. There’s not much here besides cigarettes, decor, and pinball machines. That’s about it. However, Gooski’s down the street is a bomb dive bar to visit with friendly people.

Smoking bars are not ones I go to if I can help it but I was celebrating a friend's birthday and decided to just deal with it. A rowdy crowd for karaoke night. Didn't have any food or play pinball. Only one bartender but you'd get your drink eventually, just had to be patient. The place is very punk, but also seems to be the neighborhood watering hole bc there were several older folks at the bar who were clearly not part of the scene. I coughed up dark mucus for the next two days clearing out all the smoke but the night was fun. Street parking.

When I think of Polish Hill, the Rock Room is one of the first things that comes to mind. Such a great Pittsburgh dive bar, cheap drinks, good/cheap food, and pinball. Perfect place to grab a few drinks fuel up on some pierogies and maybe see a live show, as there is a small venue in the back by the pinball machines. It is smoker friendly so keep just that in mind, either way you should check it out if you haven't been.

I mean is it really proper to review an old school punk rock dive?It's a neighborhood joint that's got a built-in crowd, welcoming to those of use who show up every now and again as well.Good drink prices.Great staff.Seen a lot of great bands here.

I love the energy inside.This bar hosts a great representation of alternative subcultures and presents itself as a place for freedom of self expression.I’ve gotten to hear a diversity of musicians on the half of the bar which is a live music venue. Can’t wait to come back for more!If you get the chance to, check out the walls while you are inside. Many people who have come through have left their mark in the building.

I asked the bartender for a French 75 and she handed me a can of Pabst. She then said the prices go up in 2 minutes, so I better make up my mind. Everyone in the place stared at me while this was happening. I'd rather jump in the Allegheny than go back.
