About The Church Brew Works

The Church Brew Works provides a memorable dining experience with German-inspired Pittsburgh pub cuisine, including the German mac and cheese and Malted Bread Pudding. The brewery's beer selection is impressive, and the atmosphere is striking, featuring "pew" style booths and stained glass windows. The building retains many of its original church features, creating an eclectic and beautiful setting. Friendly service and delicious food, such as the buffalo chicken pierogi sauté and French onion soup, make it a great casual place to enjoy a meal. The pork chops are decent, and the shrimp and lobster mac and cheese is tasty, although a bit pricey. Parking can be limited, but the unique combination of brewery and chapel-style decor makes it a must-visit spot off the beaten path. Some visitors may find the idea of brewing beer at the altar a bit unusual, but the architecture and ambiance remain stunning. Overall, the restaurant offers a fun space with beautiful art, architecture, and a variety of food and drink options, including favorites like the Pulled pork sandwich and Mexican-style beer.

The Jagerschnitzel, the pierogis, the Beef CheeseSteak, and the Mac & Cheese were all spectacular, proving that carbohydrates are the only true religion. Our prayers for dessert were answered with the Oreo Cookie Brownie Sundae which, although simple, turned out to be a masterpiece capable of raising the dead.
