Inner Groove Brewing - Allentown Taproom Brewery • $$
827 E Warrington Ave, Pittsburgh

“A fun and eclectic brewery in Verona. Inner Groove's ~thing~ is having a great collection of records which are always spinning. It added a nice ambiance while sitting at the bar and whatever's playing is a good conversation starter with the bartenders who are really friendly and helpful. I felt the tap list is super IPA heavy, which I'm not as into anymore personally. But if you are, you'll love it! I tried a blonde ale and the rainbow sherbet sour (which legit tasted like melted rainbow sherbet). They were both good. I look forward to checking out this space again in the summer. It's really close to the river so I'm sure it's even better when you can spend time outside.“

Sly Fox PGH Brewery at the Highline Brewery • $$

“Absolutely loved this place. The food was great and the outdoor area is beautiful. I ordered pierogis, tofu bites, Greek salad, and pretzel bites. The tofu bites were crispy and flavorful. The pierogis were almost as good as my grandma’s. I would totally go back here again when in town. There’s even a nice walking trail nearby if you want to make a full afternoon of activities.“

“Had my first Cinderlands beer about a year ago and was excited to try one of their locations. Went on a Sunday night and it was mostly empty. Everything is ordered through your phone and servers only bring your stuff. It was quick but very impersonal and sterile - not a fan. Beer was really pretty middling - decent but not as good as I had last year. Food was definitely above average pub food and was quite good. Closes early ( what is up with that Pittsburgh??). Took a good 25 minutes to get an Uber back to downtown at 8pm.“

Aslin Beer Company Brewery • $$

“Really roomy! The seating area is huge. With seats outside as well. There’s an upstairs seating area that I didn’t notice until I was sitting there for a while.I had the how now brown cow stout and it was really good. Very sweet. I tried a couple other ones and they were all very tasty. The bartenders were very quick and nice. I don’t have any complaints about this place at all. I loved the strange cups they had for sale. They’re very cute. They are a cashless business so you just have to make sure you have your card“
