This is the best brewery I’ve been to in Pittsburgh. Owner is personable, knows their stuff and each beer speaks to their expertise.
The styles they do are very authentic, and stand tall. Don’t miss this place - you won’t regret it. A true standout.

The knowledgeable staff provides a great learning experience about the beer production and preferences, allowing samples and happily sharing insights about the beer scene in the area. The IPAs are particularly praised for their robust and dank profiles, with options such as Slanguage, Super Crush, and Prairie Schooner. The tap room is perfect for a casual Friday night, and while seating is limited, it contributes to the intimate atmosphere. Recently, Coven added some TVs for watching classic video games and sports, enhancing the experience without the sports bar vibe. The new seating is super comfortable and great for larger groups. In the summer, outdoor seating at picnic tables is available, and rotating food trucks offer some of the best food around. Overall, Coven Brewing is a delightful spot for beer enthusiasts seeking high-quality, flavorful brews and a cozy, inviting atmosphere.
