Somi was such a wonderful surprise today.
The bulgogi egg roll was the best I've ever had anywhere in my life. I don't take that lightly. I love food. Wow! So crunchy and flavorful! The sauce it came with was amazing and packed a punch. Prices are unduly high and non-alcoholic drinks are a bit lackluster (haven't found an alcoholic one here I'd rave about, either), but the food at Somi is pretty good.
I've been here a handful of times and it is consistently top notch asian comfort food. Vietnamese lemongrass noodles is light and flavorful. The bulgogi beef bibimbap is packed with fresh flavors and perfect rice and pickled vegetables. Good portion sizes. Prices are comparable to the other city kitchen restaurants (about $17-19 for these bowls)
