“I just want to reiterate how amazing the employees are here—always incredibly friendly! I’ve consistently received excellent service. There is a lady, I think her name is Ankita, and she is fantastic! She wraps the sandwiches so well that they don’t get messy while eating, and she treats customers with such kindness. I highly recommend having your sandwich made by her—she’s sweet, friendly, and provides an awesome experience!“

“I stopped going to Subway a few years ago because of quality was terrible. A couple of years ago I moved and was very close to this location in Westview plaza. I don't know if it is just this location or all subways have stepped up their game but I have never gotten a bad meal at this place!
Everything is fresh and it fills me up. The best part is I order through the app and they always have at least buy one get a second for 50% off and run a buy one get one free promotion very frequently. Currently they are doing the buy one get one free promotion and I have gone there three times in the last 5 days. All three times the food was delicious and did not take long to get. I highly recommend this place.“

“I'm giving this a 5, because of the excellent way the young lady handled the situation. It was later at night and every other Subway was closed. This location said open. What the site DIDN'T say was that it was for pick up orders only... My phone wouldn't complete the order for some reason. Even though the owner for some reason had this poor girl working by HERSELF AT NIGHT IN OAKLAND at the only open Subway and she was SUPER busy, she took a second to take my order and made sure I was taken care of and did it with a great and positive attitude. I felt so bad that they had her there by herself... She was excellent and courteous. And the food was good as well. I'm appreciative of her.“

Parking: The parking lot is in a plaza so there is plenty of parking.“

“I travel all around Pittsburgh for my job. Every time I’m over on this side of town, I make sure to stop and get food from here. This is by far the cleanest subway I’ve been to, with the best service. No wait times, and early pick up if you order on the app. I highly recommend going here over any other one.“

“I lived just up the road from this subway for the first 10 years of my life, the man behind the counter who I believe is the one you guys now call lucky is the most amazing person I’ve ever met in a subway and quite possibly any restaurant I’ve ever been to. I went in at least twice a week for 6-7 years and every time he knew my order, sometimes even giving double meat or cheese without asking. Love that man with all my heart and want him to know I’ll be back someday for my tuna sub!“

“Wow - this is the cleanest subway I have ever been to. Love how they even serve in a basket for dinning in. I got the 16 - sweet onion chicken teriyaki. Also got cookies and drink - much better than chips. Plenty of seating and great service. Solid lunch option or when hungry before a sams or target run.“

“The gentleman and lady that were handling this location at 6:00 pm 12/20/2021 seemed like they were overworked and underpaid, they were both kind and got the order right. They just didn't seem happy at their jobs. Whether it's a bad day, bad shift, bad equation with the coworkers I'm not sure. But take care of your employees.“

Its sooo chill, clean and great service despite times I witnessed some customers be less than kind, they still maintained that perfect order even though its not roght for anyone to mistreat anyone even if they are in a service industry or job. “We came in with an emergency after a catering order elsewhere totally fell thru and we had 40 family members at home with one hour to eat before the next window of a funeral wake.The owner came through big time and made us ten subs within 10 minutes! “Shout out to this location. Its an older location for sure, but don't let the looks deceive you. I bought a sandwich today and the store couldn't have been cleaner. All of the toppings behind the glass looked very fresh and clean. The employees were quick and efficient. Sandwich was great!“

“I've been to several other local Subways, but this one on Smithfield Street always has all the advertised products, daily specials and the best sandwich makers. The owners care about their business. Other ones should change their name to Subpar...and, on top of their shortcomings, they charge more for the identical menu items.“

“This Subway is tucked away in the Caste Village strip mall. It may be a little hard to find but there is plenty of parking.The service was prompt and pretty fast. The employee had a rather thick accent and it was a little hard to understand her, but she was polite and accommodating.We ordered a Spicy Italian and a BMT sub; both were delicious and were made with fresh looking and tasting ingredients.Overall, it was a very good experience and I am sure that we will be back.“

“We were in town with basketball and brought 9 people in all at once for food around 10am….plus the other guests in line. The young lady here was excellent and did not let being here alone overwhelm her! Great customer service…with a smile!“

“My husband and I ordered a sub, wrap, pizza, and chips. A new employee accidentally charged me for an extra sandwich, which he noticed and corrected. But then he also charged me for two pizzas rather than one pizza with one topping, and I unfortunately did not notice until I looked at the receipt at home. All of the employees had good personalities and work ethics, but the new employee needed more training on using the cash register. UPDATE: The owner of this Subway emailed me to sincerely apologize for the pricing for the pizza. He said that he talked with his employees so that the mistake does not occur again and that he would refund a generous $12. I added an extra star to my review to account for the owner’s excellent customer service and leadership. I will definitely visit this Subway again.“

“I just learned today that this location is under new ownership, and it was wonderful! The people working were all so pleasant, and the store was so clean! The food tasted much more fresh. I rarely would stop here before, but will definitely be back! The ownership change is just what this location needed!“

“It's a Subway, so you kinda know what you're getting. The reason for my reivew is to praise the manager (at least I'm pretty sure she's the manager), the young shorter lady with short blonde hair. Everytime I come in she has a big beautiful smile on her face, regardless of how crappy customers can be. “One of my favorite Subways in Downtown Pittsburgh. Especially when riding public transit, this place is a blessing! I can enjoy a good, satisfying lunch, while waiting for my bus. Can see the bus stop-- which is right outside the front windows-- as the bus pulls up.Thank God they made it through the pandemic madness of Covid!!!And as long as you make a purchase (which is just basic respect in my opinion) the owner doesn't mind you utilizing the bathroom.
