The Library on Carson is a welcoming spot that feels like home, offering a great selection of bourbon and delicious food. Their Manhattan and smash burger are standouts, while the brunch menu is delicious, featuring options like avocado toast and bottomless mimosas for $18, which are popular among guests. The daily specials and reasonable prices make it a great value. The atmosphere has a moody, loungey vibe with exposed brick and cozy lighting, creating a space that feels both upscale and relaxed. The staff is friendly and efficient, providing great service, which adds to the overall experience.
The Library is a top choice for a variety of occasions, whether it’s a weekday dinner, happy hour, or a special event like a birthday brunch. The menu is diverse, offering American fare with dishes named after books and stories, making it a fun experience. Guests have enjoyed flavorful small plates like wings and garlic grilled cheese bites, along with larger options like the Pittsburgh salad. The upstairs lounge area features a pool table and chill rooftop seating, making it a pleasant surprise for visitors.
Overall, the vibe is chill and vibey, perfect for date nights, group hangs, or enjoying a cocktail solo. While it may be a bit loud for some adults over 30, the cozy energy and thoughtful curation of the space make The Library on Carson a worthwhile destination in Pittsburgh.
