Service is always top notch and friendly and the atmosphere is filled with Italian decor and music. “My son kept telling me he wanted us to try this restaurant as he lives in the area and he goes there often. It was a hike for us, but we decided to go try it out. There were 6 of us there, and everyone enjoyed their food, but I will speak to what we ordered. My son insisted we try the pizza as an appetizer. I am not really into pizza when I go out to a restaurant, so I was hesitant. When it came out, it was huge. I loved that it was very crisp on the bottom and it was not overloaded with sauce. It didn't have the typical cheese that slides off the pizza when you order it. The owner, Chris, came to check on us to see how we liked it. I thought it was fantastic, but there are a limited number made during the evening so I think you have to get there early. My daughter and I shared the bang bang cauliflower and that was very tasty. There was a lot of it so we ended up taking some of that home. The other appetizer we had were the soul scallops. We all thought this was an amazing appetizer and I loved the combination with the cornbread. We each had a salad before dinner and I personally like the spring mix with tomatoes. It wasn't an overly large salad, but it was a salad was what is was supposed to be: a precursor to dinner. With the portion sizes of the appetizers and the food, we actually ended up taking some of the salad home. My son got the Italian Chicken and Waffles, which was huge. I was give a taste of that and while it was a combination that I did not think would work, it was very good and a creative recipe. My husband had the Surf and Turf Fricassee and he is still talking about that almost a week later. It was a very nice dish and his steak came out the way he asked. He is frequently disappointed when he goes out to eat in other restaurants and is disappointed by how often the steak is overcooked. I had the Alfredo Bay, which again, was a large portion that I ended up taking home and finishing the next day. I was worried that it was going to be a bit too spicy with the Old Bay, but I liked the combination of ingredients so I thought I would give it a try. You can taste the kick, but it wasn't overwhelming thankfully. When talking to the owner, he said that the only dessert they were out of was the Tiramisu (which is one of my favorite desserts). His mom personally makes it so it tends to sell out. Chris.....tell your mother to make more (just kidding). The staff that we interacted with were very personable and friendly. While this was a little over an hour from home, we will definitely be back the next time we are visiting our son!“

“My spouse and I have been dining in at Sacco's for the last few years and it has always been a great experience. We have been ordering the subs like the chicken parmesan and eggplant Parmesan. The food tastes so good and is always of great quality. The prices are very reasonable too. The staff are always friendly, extremely accommodating and professional.“

“AV is my family's favorite restaurant. They have a variety of different options on their menu, from homemade pastas, to fresh seafood, to decadent fresh salads. The ingredients and pairings are absolutely out of this world, and are comparable to a NYC level of presentation and taste.
The service is impeccable. From the moment you walk through the door, you are greeted with warm & smiling faces. The servers are very thorough, extremely welcoming, and make you feel like you belong. They are very knowledgeable about the menus, and are happy to give great suggestions.
To say that AV Restaurant is the best restaurant in Scranton isn't even scratching the surface of just how fabulous of an establishment it truly is. If I could give 10 stars I would. You must give this place a try!!!!“

“My family and I had some friend over Saturday evening and wanted to keep it simple with pizza. Our order was a plain, pepperoni and a grandma. As usual every pie was so fresh and delicious. My favorite will always be the grandma, just the right amount of pesto oil, thin and crispy. While I forget his name, the tall gentleman with glasses, who I assume is the manager, is always so polite and keeps things moving behind the counter. Dino’s will always be a pizza that I enjoy and highly recommend!!!!“

“A nice little place that has been in the downtown for close to 20 years. You enter through the bar that is roomy while also having hightop tables. When entering main dining, the first thing we noticed was the piano player, which is a super-cool touch! He played some fun songs, including some of his own, cracked jokes, and also interacted with the crowd while not being intrusive at all. My wife and I each got a martini (Dirty Gin for her and Honey Nut Cheerio for me) and both were delicious. As an appetizer, we got Eggplant Melanzane, which was light, had great flavor, and a delicious vodka sauce. My better half had a Caesar salad with probably the best Caesar dressing we have ever had. I went with the gorgonzola salad that had a nice, tart raspberry vinaigrette. For our entrees, she had the chicken special, which featured thin chicken breast and portobello mushrooms in a port wine sauce, topped with gorgonzola. It was very earthy and deep, a worthy special. I had the Pollo Sambuca, which is the same thin chicken breast with shrimp and mushrooms in a creamy sambuca sauce. It was very flavorful and slightly sweet. The anise is there, but not distracting. This was a solid meal! Our server, Thellenza, was attentive and informative. She made sure we understood all of the specials and took care of anything we asked. The rest of the staff is also helpful, too, and we were never in need of anything for long at all. The adult beverages that we enjoyed were definitely tasty, we just wish they had more of a wine and beer selection. Food: 9 Service: 10 Atmosphere: 10 Adult Drink Selection: 8 Overall: 9.25“

“Last night a waitress here clearly tried to rob us! I paid $45 cash then wanted to put the rest on my card. She came back said the card machine was broken ( no big deal) My dad handed her a $50 bill&she never brought his change back. I asked her for a receipt to show we paid, she gave me a song and a dance about having to go write up another receipt. We had already been there for 2 hours & I had to leave, on my way way home I realized I forgot to leave tip on table so I called to give my cc info to leave the tip. later that evening I got a call back saying I never fully paid the bill. That waitress took his $50 and pocketed it!! When I spoke to her on phone she flat out lied!!, even though I told her (after I paid) that she never gave him the change she even said (oh I owe you whatever the amount was) She said we never gave her the $50!?! my elderly dad clearly pulled it out of his wallet & handed it to her. Thankfully Christine the manager took care of everything for us! Btw it wasn't Wendy she was awesome it was the other lady there on 2/22 evening short dark hair! Needless to say we won't be back! Why would I ask for a receipt or change back if we didn't pay you!?!?!?!?!?!But watch who you hire Sidels... She a bad one!! To try and steal from an elderly man with dementia!?!?! We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Lucca’s celebrating Mother’s Day with my mom and I have to give a huge shoutout to Tori Krappa who truly sets this place apart! Torry is so giving & deeply passionate about everything she does, from the food to the people—she takes the time to personally greet tables, and ensures everyone feels like a regular!
