“I went during happy hour because who doesn't like a good happy hour?!? I order just a standard margaritas that was very good. For food I had the chicken Mexican street tacos. Filled to the brim with meat and toppings!! My server was very nice and when I couldn't pick made good suggestions! Definitely will be going back again!!“
“I want to express our gratitude to excellent customer service to Tyler! Despite being a very busy Saturday night shift he was very friendly and showed great patience to the customers waiting for their order. Despite his young age he showed great leadership! Thank you to Tyler and the rest of the Taco Bell team :) !“

The waitresses and bartenders were attentive and we really felt Welcome. We will be going back! 100% recommended! ❣️We loved everything; The waitresses are very attentive, happy, helpful and make you feel welcome. The atmosphere is excellent, the food is delicious and the place is very nice.We recommend it 100%.“
“Traveled through the area and got takeout based on the Google reviews, and we were not disappointed. Online ordering was so convenient, pickup was fast and easy, and the staff were very friendly. The chimichangas were absolutely delicious. We got them fried with chicken. We also got the 3 combo with enchiladas and tacos and preferred the chicken enchiladas. Our order came with a ton of chips and delicious salsa. I'm so glad we found this gem ? also so affordable! We will be back!“
“Authentic Mexican food — SO fresh! The salsa is amazing and there is a big variety of tacos prepared with traditional Mexican ingredients. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I had several questions about some items on the menu I was unfamiliar with- I learned a lot! Portion sizes are very generous -including the $7 Happy Hour Margaritas, which are made with fresh squeezed lime juice. No mixers here! My husband’s comment when we first tasted our food: “they definitely don’t take short cuts here”. This is a great addition to downtown WB - can’t wait to go back!“
“Went to Wilkes barre for a concert and was craving Mexican food. The location looks a little suspect coming from the outside, but going in everyone was friendly. Super authentic Mexican food, friendly staff, extensive menu and everything was delicious. Salsas were all very good, which is awesome considering you get free chips while waiting for your meal! If I’m ever back in the area I’ll be back.“
“I was delighted to discover a spot where I could satisfy my craving for authentic Mexican cuisine. The tacos were absolutely superb! The staff was incredibly friendly, and as an added bonus, they offer fresh tortillas to take home by the pound. I'll definitely be returning whenever I find myself in Scranton again.“
“Best place I've been to in Scranton!! The price is definitely worth it!!! They serve you A LOT! So just have that in mind. It'd be best if you have someone to share. The chilaquiles ARE spicy so beware. But man, they are good! The chicken and meat are absolutely perfect. Other places give you old meat where you can taste it has been sitting for a while. Not Yankee Taqueria. The eggs were fried to perfection. The muffin and bagel were toasted so beautifully. I'll try their technique when I get home. The Cecina in the platter was very juicy and tender. Rice was very fluffy. The burrito, I could barely finish half. IT IS STUFFED!! But as it is fat, it's delightful. Again, their meat tastes very good and fresh. I wish I had known of this place before. I'd definitely visit this place evert time I come to Scranton! The service and food is unbeatable. The owner and his family are very friendly and welcoming. You HAVE to try this place!!“
“This place is just awesome. Everyone at my table loved their food and so did I. We're from out of town and so happy we found this place. The server, Richard, was really wonderful as well.Vegetarian options: The one person who had a vegetarian option was absolutely ecstatic about their meal“
“Excellent place, food, attention, atmosphere, kids, everything... I loved itVegetarian options: Anything non-vegetarian is a temptation at this placeParking: Lots of people alwaysKid-friendliness: Children are acceptedWheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair access“
“I had their round pie with onions, the taste of this pizza took me back to the 80's when pizza was made by hand and not machines. It was a 6 cut pie, came out nice and hot. My appetizer was an order of 4 meatballs in a marinara sauce, they had a nice taste to it. When I was walking in I was treated in a welcoming manner. But my strawberry cake was delicious. This place has a little bit of everything. Pizza, Mexican food, and in-between. Check them out, if you don't drive I saw signs for door dash. So there's no reason anyone in the Wilkes-Barre/ Kingston Area cannot get to this place. Tell them you saw this review. Until next time. Be blessed and stay safe.“
“Italos is my absolute favorite restaurant hands down. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The service is outstanding even with a packed restaurant. I was there today for my birthday and while they were packed to the brim, they still managed to provide excellent service and the food was absolutely incredible. They sang me Happy Birthday and let me wear the awesome Sombrero. I can’t recommend them enough!“
“Today was my 1st time ordering lunch from this establishment. I ordered on line with ease and went to pick up my order. The restaurant was clean and very colorful. I was greeted by a server with a smile on her face asking if I needed assistance. I ordered the guacamole and chips and the Tacos De Birria. The portions are very large so plan on having left overs. The guacamole and chips were excellent. The Tacos De Birria were the best tacos I have ever eaten. Co-workers frequent this place and they recommended it highly. I also checked reviews on line and many recommended this taco. They weren't wrong. It was absolutely delicious. Quite unusual with the dipping broth, but so tasty. The meat was very tender. I highly recommend this restaurant to others if you have not been there. I plan to frequent this place whenever possible. Hidden gem in Scranton.“
“I’m OBSESSED with this place. Everything about it is top tier. The environment is so exciting, the food is amazing & Leah is the BEST bartender/server. She knows the menu like the back of her hand & she was the reason we came back two times this week. She brings the energy!!“
“I ordered catering a bit in advance and they were very accommodating and responsive to any questions or changes. The food was delivered on time and warm and everyone loved it! I don't live in the area any more but if I did, I'd be here every week! High quality Mexican food ??“
“I was amazed at how nice the people were. The food was so amazing it felt like the flavors were danceing on my tounge. There red sauce was really spicy it made my nose run. May I add the decorations in the are so cool. It was an overal 5 star place to go. I have nothing bad to say.Vegetarian options: There was a vegitarian fajita if I recal correctly on menu.Dietary restrictions: The made sure not to put any onions in my dads food even though he isn't allergic he just doesn't like them, and there was no onions found anywhere.“
“I was feeling sick and I asked if they can make a soup for me and they was very kind and made it for me with love and dedication. The chicken soup was delicious served with a rice side and tostones (fried plantains).I am very grateful and I really enjoyed it!“
“I got food from here delivered off of Uber eats and I am so pleased with my order! The esquite was good and the birria tacos might be the best I’ve had so far. The only thing I would say though is that I wish the chicken in the flautas were a little more seasoned, otherwise everything was delicious!“
“Simply Fantastic! The food, presentation and service were all excellent. Loved our hostess! The food is authentic, fresh, and we tried a new item called Sopes. It was delicious and I highly recommend. There were a couple of other new ones too. They are more than happy to accommodate requests for making the dishes vegetarian. Gem of a place!“
“I don't leave a whole lot of reviews but this place is above par. I am not one bit surprised all the reviews so far are 5 stars. I ordered delivery, they called to clarify a discrepancy in my order. Food was here in less than 30 mins and it was hot, fresh and so absolutely delicious! I feel like I just ate a home cooked meal that's been cooking all day. Highly recommend for great service, hospitality and amazing food“
“Very nice place, the waiter was very good. He probably thought we were a bunch of morons, story for another time. My step son had a spicy burrito, he loved it. I had chicken enchiladas, the chicken was very good, the black beans also very good. My fiance didn't really like his tacos, but that's the first time he ate real Mexican food. We had to explain to him they don't make American tacos (that's what I call them) he said next time he'll try what I got. That's part of the reason why the waiter was very good, he was a happy and nice man. Prices were pretty good. For four of us, the bill was under 50.Kid-friendliness: Kids menuWheelchair accessibility: Yes wheelchair parking and wheelchair friendly“
“I recently stumbled upon a hidden gem in Wilkes Barre that has forever changed my perception of Latin cuisine - a little cart that serves up the most mouthwatering arepas (not on the menu - $8 and it takes 8 minutes to make) and a wide array of Mexican delights. From the moment I took my first bite, I knew it was authentic. 99% of the customers are Hispanic, and you can also bring your beer and sip it while enjoying the food. They take credit card payments, and you can pay via apple pay, etc. This truck might not catch your eye at first glance, but believe me, it's a culinary treasure waiting to be discovered. These golden, crispy corn arepa pockets are filled with a variety of delectable ingredients that will make your taste buds dance with joy. Order only one because it's filing. The hot sauces that accompany the arepas are okay. Perhaps skip them. We had chicken arepas. They recently raised the price from $6 to $8 per arepa, and my Latin friends were not happy with the price increase but it does take 8 minutes to make them. Their menu features an extensive selection of tacos, burritos, and quesadillas (enough for two meals at $13 per quesadilla), all made with the freshest ingredients. Whether you opt for the succulent carne asada, the zesty al pastor, or the flavorful vegetarian options, you'll be treated to an explosion of flavors that will transport you straight to the streets of Mexico. While we were eating, several Mexican construction workers came for their dinner, as well as some white-non Hispanic patrons who came because the aroma of the food was amazing. Don't expect it to be a 5-star restaurant. As for the ambiance, it's a "hole in the wall." It's a place where the focus is entirely on the food, and that's exactly how it should be. If you're a fan of Latin and Mexican cuisine and find yourself in Wilkes Barre, you simply must try this place. And for those of you who don't speak Spanish, they speak fluent English.“
“We were planning on coming to this place for a while, as we're new to the area. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. A very humble and friendly establishment. The food was AWESOME and the price more than affordable! My wife lived in Seattle and she said that it brought her memories of it, thanks to the flavor and quality of the food and the customer service we received. Absolutely, we will be back!!!Parking: Must find a parking spot on the street and be willing to walk a short distance.“
“This place is absolutely ? yummie. We had the carnita street tacos, chicken burrito, and order of bean chalupas. My mom had the Carne asada plate she said rice and beans delish, Carne ok. We will definitely go back when visiting Sister again! My sister will definitely be enjoying it more often now that she has had it.“
“I got nachos earlier, and they were outstanding. Just reheated the leftovers. Somehow, they taste better the second time.... Enough that I felt the need to come on here and leave a review. Also I gotta say your refresca selection is amazing. I got so excited when I saw they had Mundet.“
“Tasty Mexican food and friendly staff! We had a large group and a few folks who arrived after we were already seated, but our server took it in stride and we had a very pleasant evening. I had the Philly Steak Burrito because...I had to know how it tasted. And it was fantastic! Recommend getting a side of rice or veggies to balance the steaky cheesiness ;^)Kid-friendliness: While there weren't any crayons or kids activities (if your kiddo needs something like that, "BYOC"!), my child was entertained by the lively music and atmosphere.“
“Overall the food has always been fantastic. The drinks are good and so are the servers and it's never too tight inside to enjoy yourself. I've never had a bad experience here and have always enjoyed everything, I think this place deserves more attention.“
