8 Best Pizza Restaurants near Pocono Lake

“I live in New York but have parents that live in the Poconos and visit them regularly. For the longest I always went to other pizza places nearby. But as of recent a lot of them are under new ownership and the pizza has really taken a turn for the worst. This place calls themselves the best pizza in town so I decided to give it a shot based on the reviews and the self proclamation. I was pleasantly surprised because the pizza is definitely the best in Blakeslee/Poconos. I ordered a large pie with pepperoni and mushrooms and it tasted very good. Its not NY pizza. But I would have to agree it's the best around. Not only that but the entire staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I placed my order over the phone and even the gentleman who took my order was very courteous and they even sent me an update to my phone letting me know when my pizza and other food was ready.However I took a star off because this place is incredibly pricey for the area. It's actually more expensive than the pizza place by me in NY. I paid $11 for a chicken salad which although tasted good looked like it was made from bagged salad and the cucumbers inside were soggy and not fresh. As this is a pizza place I can't really complain too much about this as most people don't go to a pizzeria specifically looking for a salad.This will be my new pizza place moving forward for my visits and I will be coming back here again for the pizza.“

“I really like this place, the people who work there are very friendly, from the boss, to the waiters, to the cooks, they are all very cordial and helpful. “The first impression of this restaurant was not so good from exterior look, however, when my family entered inside then we changed our thought because of great attitude from people inside. Server was so kind and food was so great, particularly the pizza we had was good(I don’t know the name but showed photos and he told me name but couldn’t understand honestly). Also, price there is great after we tired high prices from water park. I truly recommend this restaurant.“

“I picked up and order to go. Foolishly enough, I had never ordered or gone there before. I ordered 1/2 plain, 1/2 pepperoni and an order of garlic knots (4). The garlic knots are huge. Never seen ones that big. The pizza was really good. Cooked very well. Stood up by the time I got back home (10 minutes). Plenty of pepperoni on the one half. Crust was crispy. I will be ordering again. Unfortunately just a little bit out of range for delivery ($5, within 5 miles, but does Kalahari and some other places)?. Didn't really look around the restaurant for atmosphere. Prices are currently more expensive when you get there than on their website (ex: 13.99 is now 14.99 for a 16"). I mentioned it to the nice girl who helped me and she said she would tell someone! Now time to try other dishes, next time! I'll be back!“

“Never even knew this place was here. Stopped in the strip mall for another place and decided to stop into Nino c. Pizzeria and boy was that the best decision I've made all month. I got a slice of grandma pizza. The pizza was literally the best I've had in many many years. Also the young lady who works there is really sweet and very friendly. Made me feel extremely welcome. You don't find this type of environment in food service now these days. So this was such a great experience today. I'll 100% be back often !“

“Last time I was here The Brookside was under different ownership and that review probably would have been 2 stars. Since the new ownership has taken over they have changed some decor and brightened the place up a bit and have started doing some differently themed food days like a wing night and a southern soul food style Sundays event.The service here has been good the few times I’ve been in. I’m always greeted immediately and helped to a beverage and given a menu. I haven’t experienced any long waits to get another drink and everyone has been very friendly.This review specifically is on their wings. We were in on a wing night and got the garlic ranch wings and the Kings hot honey wings. This wing special night has a list of sauces that changes weekly. You’ll still have your staples every week but there are quite a few that rotate in and out so it doesn’t get stale. My gf loves the garlic ranch and I’m consistently trying new flavors. I also had the blackberry bbq which were very tasty, and the plain Buffalo (The OG baby) also has good flavor.These wings are nice and crispy without sacrificing the juiciness of the meat itself. They are not tiny little wings but they are also not these mammoth ones you see at some places where it’s impossible to get a proper cook on them and still have good texture.I’ll be back in soon to try out that Southern food menu, but the wings absolutely Didn’t Suck!“

“We have been patrons for over a decade. Their food is good, hot, and consistent. The sauce is a bit on the sweet side, but we like it that way. Order a Sicilian with peperoni, fried onions, meatballs and sausage....the 903 way. You won't be disappointed if you like a little sweeter sauce. Thanks for all the years of great food!“
