“This place is great. Ask to speak to the chef Dave and he'll brag about how he can make widow hot sauce at home not fit for the park but he'll give tossing your boneless wings in hot sauce a try. This guy went out of his way to make our onion rings well done and crunchy. He added chili flakes and hot sauce to spice up our wings. He brought the food right to the table. As another reviewer notes you come here with low expectations and get very pleasantly surprised. They don't nickel and dime you either here. They offer free water cups and give you use of their fountain. If you want wraps or pizzas they've got that stuff here too. They've got a grill fired up for burgers with fresh veggies ready to add Give it a shot. It beats driving fifteen minutes to Wendy's or waiting for ten minutes for service at the burger joint upstairs. They also offer cute elephant souvenir cups for kids with discounts on refills. Good stuff.“

“The food was AMAZING. Very flavorful, lots of options, and extra seasonings offered at the table.The service was outstanding, they went out of their way to accomidate our large group. Disability friendly parking and seating options. “Whether you are heading to the Crossings in Scotrun, PA, the Mt Airy Casino, Great Wolf Lodge, working near or traveling through, Nick’s is a must stop! A great business model with a true sense of running a successful business while serving awesome sandwiches, soups, breakfast 8 am, using fresh ingredients and a kitchen staff eager to prepare great food. One cheesesteak, sauce on side, on a fresh semolina roll, substantial meat, cheesy with nice flavors. The Italian sub, piled high with select Boars Head meats on same seeded roll was so big, it satisfied my hearty appetite. The chili and crab soup were totally delicious, well seasoned and hearty. At $6.99 for 12 ounces (bowl), they both satisfied us as an appetizer or lunch. The soups change daily! It was a delight talking to the owner who takes much pride in the 7 month old deli. I’m happy they landed in this part of the Poconos for residents and travelers to enjoy! We’ll definitely return to try the pizza and a pork Etta sandwich. Open every day but Sunday.“

“Pizza was fantastic! Crust was soft, not too soft just perfect. Sauce is very good. Today our shop ordered 3 lunch specials. Definitely great prices for the amount of food. Cheesesteak was delicious. Guys enjoyed their chicken parm. Definitely recommend trying them out. Staff very nice and courteous.“

“I came to visit the Poconos area. I'm from brooklyn NY. I consider myself a very tough critic on pizza. I was not expecting good pizza in this area, and I have to say this pizza was spectacular. “I can't say enough good things about the service. On vacation, ordered food and my phone died. Couldn't find the delivery driver who waited on me forever. Finally, got to call and they brought the food right back. The lady on the phone was so sweet. The food was yummy. My kids were happy. Couldn't ask for more.“

“The first impression of this restaurant was not so good from exterior look, however, when my family entered inside then we changed our thought because of great attitude from people inside. Server was so kind and food was so great, particularly the pizza we had was good(I don’t know the name but showed photos and he told me name but couldn’t understand honestly). “What can I really say about this Pizza shop. We traveled from New York to go to Kalahari. After settling in we were starving and didn’t want to pay crazy resort food prices so we googled and found Joe’s pizza. We traveled about 18 minutes to get here and me being a New Yorker and of course high standards for pizza. I was surprised to meet a fellow New Yorker (Joe) making pizza. He is a really nice guy and hands down his Pizza exceeded my expectations. I didn’t think it was possible but the pizza was delicious. We didn’t get to dine in and talk some more. Since he had to head out and close early but his service was great and I am a fan. If you’re in the neighborhood it’s worth the trip.Tip: I would recommend the buffalo chicken pizza.“

“While visiting the area we tried the pizza here, and it was amazing! It was easy to order by phone, and we picked it up 20 minutes later. Their Garden Fresh pizza is terrific! The dough, the sauce, and the semi crispy veggies were all wonderful! Everyone we interacted with was very friendly. We highly recommended this place!“

“I picked up and order to go. Foolishly enough, I had never ordered or gone there before. I ordered 1/2 plain, 1/2 pepperoni and an order of garlic knots (4). The garlic knots are huge. Never seen ones that big. The pizza was really good. Cooked very well. Stood up by the time I got back home (10 minutes). Plenty of pepperoni on the one half. Crust was crispy. I will be ordering again. Unfortunately just a little bit out of range for delivery ($5, within 5 miles, but does Kalahari and some other places)?. Didn't really look around the restaurant for atmosphere. Prices are currently more expensive when you get there than on their website (ex: 13.99 is now 14.99 for a 16"). I mentioned it to the nice girl who helped me and she said she would tell someone! Now time to try other dishes, next time! I'll be back!“

“Last time I was here The Brookside was under different ownership and that review probably would have been 2 stars. Since the new ownership has taken over they have changed some decor and brightened the place up a bit and have started doing some differently themed food days like a wing night and a southern soul food style Sundays event.The service here has been good the few times I’ve been in. I’m always greeted immediately and helped to a beverage and given a menu. I haven’t experienced any long waits to get another drink and everyone has been very friendly.This review specifically is on their wings. We were in on a wing night and got the garlic ranch wings and the Kings hot honey wings. This wing special night has a list of sauces that changes weekly. You’ll still have your staples every week but there are quite a few that rotate in and out so it doesn’t get stale. My gf loves the garlic ranch and I’m consistently trying new flavors. I also had the blackberry bbq which were very tasty, and the plain Buffalo (The OG baby) also has good flavor.These wings are nice and crispy without sacrificing the juiciness of the meat itself. They are not tiny little wings but they are also not these mammoth ones you see at some places where it’s impossible to get a proper cook on them and still have good texture.I’ll be back in soon to try out that Southern food menu, but the wings absolutely Didn’t Suck!“

“This place serves a great old-school NYC style pizza. Thin crust, crispy, nice sauce and right amount of cheese. We like to stop by for a quick slice. Nice guy. The comments about the place not being clean are ridiculous. It’s fine. A rural PA location. What were people looking for? The Waldorf Astoria? I am a chef. I know what I am talking about.“
