“Yesterday we dined at Tandoori Pizza and were very very happy. We found the best pizza place of Philly. We tried tandoori and achari wings, garlic sticks, chicken curry/tandoori and chocolate chip cookies. Everything was out of the world. “It was Pi-Day (3.14) so I had to go see what Down North Pizza had for me. A lamb sausage w/ lemon ricotta, za’tar, and a garlic honey drizzle. I don’t even eat meat on a regular, but this just sounded too good to pass up.

For only two people eating, we have almost a whole large pizza of leftovers and let me tell you, I cannot wait to eat them tomorrow. “I truly loved this place. I tasted pizzas I had never heard of and they were amazingly delicious. The chocolate “pizza—different crust more like a pastry) was “to die for”. I ate way too much but it was worth it. I would highly recommend it as a delicious and unique experience well worth eating way too much!!! “We stopped at Sally after a long drive north to Philadelphia. I had heard about this place many times but never visited. It is delicious pizza and I’m glad we decided to stop!

We got there around 11:30 and the place was completely empty. There were good vibes inside though. I loved the wall of wine bottles and the vintage stereo system behind the brunch bar. Music was great too.

We spilt two pizzas and they were both delicious. One was pepperoni, the other had sausage and some greens. I don’t think you can go wrong with their menu. The non-pizza items looked good but we did not try them.

The service was lackluster considering we were the only people in the place. They mixed up one pizza and offered to remake, but that meant we were eating at completely different times

“We ate there tonight for the first time and it was fantastic in every way. We met an old friend and between the two families had 6 kids under age 10, so we were not exactly quiet. We felt comfortable as our kids moved around the room, which was spacious and not cluttered. The food was delicious and fast. “We love Slices and Rolls. While we don't keep strictly kosher we will choose kosher if it's available. Slices and Rolls make it an easy choice because it is not only kosher, it is DELICIOUS! There are some kosher places in the area that if one isn't strictly kosher, one knows that they *only* stay in business because people don't have an alternative. This is *not* true of Slices and Rolls. Their pizza is objectively good - certainly the best kosher option by miles and competitive with any standard pizza shop. It's not fancy but it's good.

I can't say the same for their sushi - specifically because I can't eat it. I have an allergy to corn and they use rice vinegar mixed with corn vinegar in the rice which even if you don't have a corn allergy gives you an idea about the commitment to authenticity. My husband who has eaten it is not so excited to eat it again. Because we aren't strictly kosher (but avoid eating where non-kosher animals are prepared if it's reasonably easy) he prefers to get sushi from the Philadelphia Fish and Lobster Company which is delicious and which I can eat because it uses fully rice vinegar.

“Eda's New Haven Tomato Pie is it! I'm not a fan of the thick/cold standard we have in the local area, so I was excited to try Eda's style. This thing is huuuuge and full of simple but quality flavor. Great New Haven char. You can taste the individual ingredients in every bite. I had like 4 really nice bubbles on my pie too. Beautiful. I'll be back to try the cheese soon!“
