“This is my go to place for a great take away dinner, salad, fruit and add a bottle of wine. They are most famous for their house made tortilla chips and pico de salsa (with generous portions of avocado). They also recently opened fresh brick oven pizza to die for! My wife and I ordered food tonight and it was AMAZING. My faith in the couch tomato has been restored!!! A former personal favorite of mine. When they hit their food is out of this world. But the miss rate is getting bigger and higher making it so that I now hesitate when I have a craving for my favorite pizza or salad. They used to be a once every two weeks option for me, now they're once every two months.“

“As a big pizza girly who is picky about her crust, she was highly impressed…the sauce alone *no words needed*. Chef Spyro was very welcoming and gave us great service. I really enjoyed the space as well, so clean, so classy, but homey, and the fact thats it’s open for the curious eye when having food made for you, is great. “We chose Ariano for a baby shower and our experience was exceptional. From the moment Jamie, our waiter, greeted us until the moment we left we were impressed. Jamie was amazing, accommodating and professional. Ben, another waiter, was equally so. Both made us feel comfortable and welcome. The food was delicious, bountiful, and beautifully served. Timing for the different courses was perfect. As always, the upstairs room proved to be the most lovely space for our event and seated our 34 guests easily.From first inquiry to final details Nicolette, the event manager, was prompt, efficient and helpful and she made our event planning a breeze. “This place is a gem!! We had the cheese steak with the works and pepperoni pizza!!Without exaggeration both the pizza and cheese steak we're amazing! The cheese steak was mouth watering and definetly a generous size! And the pizza had a perfect crust and just the right amount of toppings!!! “Fantastic beers! Keen (a dark mild) and Gully (IPA) are personal favorites but they have sooo many different varieties from sours to porters. Also love the wine, particularly the Pinot Gris, and my sister enjoyed the Riesling. The pizza is delicious, love the mushroom pizza and they usually have some kind of yummy special. The buffalo wings have a great heat and are juicy with plenty of meat—I don’t even like wings but these are ones I crave. Lots of veggie options, too—salads, yummy fried artichoke app, and pizzas. The ambiance is clean, colorful, and warm, and the service is always great. And they have soft serve with chocolate syrup!!“

“As a cheesesteak enthusiast, I was anxious to try the "Jawn" advertised as a pound of prime ribeye on a freshly kneaded roll with caramelized onions and Cooper Sharp. The roll was fresh and warm, and yeasty, but more like pizza crust than the high end Italian rolls one finds at the best cheesesteak joints. Onions were perfect. Cheese was kind of skimpy. The beef was high quality and free of gristle..but a POUND? Maybe 8oz. MAX before cooking. I've eaten several pound steaks, and this ain't one. Fries were very high quality frozen, served piping hot in a cute mini fry-basket. Wife's wings were crispy and didn't get soggy in the plentiful hot sauce. Drinks are very reasonable and staff attentive and friendly. I guess the "Jawn" is a kind of novelty, and the price may reflect the beef grade as opposed to weight. Adorable atmosphere. I'll return, but try the Italian dishes where I suspect they excel.“

“Ordered our Thanksgiving meal after seeing a post on Facebook. Everything was incredible (sorry, no pics but trust me!). The whole process was super easy from ordering to pick up. The entire staff working the day before Thanksgiving were nothing but sweet and helpful. I even ordered some lunch to go when I picked up our dinner. Just a simple egg salad wrap and it was amazing. “A simple mistake is why this review is warranted. I ordered a Chx Csr Sld (+ext drs) and picked it up late one evening. The next day when I grabbed the bag for lunch there was no dressing, not even the extra dressing. So, since I live 2 blocks away I stopped by while running errands, got the salad dressing and five apologies, which weren't even necessary. I felt bad they even had concern, it's just salad dressing. They're Caesar is also good enough to eat dry the next day if necessary. The dressing just makes your gums numb, it's addictive, ya know? It's why I order the salad, so anyway...I've been to Spatolas 200+ times and that's the first mistake they've ever made. Scout's Honor. Never a mistake, a wrong order or lack in quality.- When you get delivery and they say "it'll be about 35 minutes" they mean it will be 35 minutes. Because they're on time. Always.- Burgers excellent, pizza superb, great onion rings. They do the entire menu excellently, and they do it that way every time.- The staff has always been great, never an issue. Delivery drivers very polite. Spatolas operates like a high end restaurant in the back of house and a friendly neighborhood pizza joint in the front, which it is. It manages to deliver both.Spatolas is rated 99.5% on my scale. 5 stars. Two Thumbs Up.But what prompted this long winded review was that the missing dressing incident happened 3 weeks ago. I order this salad about once a week. Last week, and tonight, my bag was checked by them before I left to confirm the extra dressing. “Ahh thank goodness that there's a really good pizza place so close by! This area is littered with pizza spots, but nothing's really stood out to me until I tried Crust yesterday. I got a small veggie with extra sauce and while the extra sauce probably wasn't necessary, I'm glad I got it that way because the sauce was truly delicious! Even a bit spicy, which means I didn't have to douse it in pepper flakes like I normally have to with pizza. And they don't skimp on the veggies. There was a healthy amount of shrooms, peppers, spinach, and more on top. The crust itself was crisp on the edges but with a soft chew interior, and it was the perfect substrate for all that cheesy, saucy goodness. Will definitely be ordering from here again! I got takeout so I can't really speak to the service, but delivery was punctual so I'd assume it's good! “The pizza is phenomenal, easily the best Kosher Pizza in Philadelphia but I want to call out this restaurant's excellent service.We had placed an order for delivery to a new mother so that she would not have to worry about dinner. Right before the restaurant closed we were notified that the pizza had been delivered to the incorrect address. I called Slices and they were able to put together a new order immediately despite closing within just a few minutes.“

“I lived in South Philly for 27 years and spent my teen year summers from 12-19 in North Wildwood. I know a great pizza and cheesesteak from mediocre. Until I went to Femi’s, the best cheesesteaks I ever had were from Russo’s in North Wildwood. The closest I’ve ever come for cheesesteaks is Femi’s in Lester. Beautiful green leaf lettuce, baby cucumbers, grape tomatoes ... all cut / sliced into nice size bites (even the tomatoes!). It's an impressive upgrade from the usual pizzeria salad of a massive hunk of iceberg with pasty tomatoes tossed in a Styrofoam clamshell.The service is efficient and friendly without being hurried. It's so nice to call in a food order when you're too hungry to decide and to have the staffer actually help you pict something then explain the dish and options available. Wow! Customer service is alive and well!The prices are quite reasonable and the portions are generous. You definitely get your money's worth.All-in-all, we are hooked.
