“I lived in South Philly for 27 years and spent my teen year summers from 12-19 in North Wildwood. I know a great pizza and cheesesteak from mediocre. Until I went to Femi’s, the best cheesesteaks I ever had were from Russo’s in North Wildwood. The closest I’ve ever come for cheesesteaks is Femi’s in Lester. Their steaks, especially their pizza steaks are fantastic. Every pizza and Stromboli I’ve ever ordered are great too! Can’t find anything better in South Philly.“

“This is a fabulous local restaurant and if I lived in the neighborhood I would be there at least twice a month. I was hosting some out-of-town visitors and we enjoyed between the three of us, two plates of pasta and a caprese salad and it was more than enough food and we also enjoyed our red and white BYOB wines. ENVIRONMENT The restaurant is relatively easy to find and seats no more than 5 or so people in the shop. The wait was a tad excessive which I credited to the food being "made with love". FOOD I love a good piece of focaccia! Another contributor commented that their pizza can be likened to focaccia which I would find to be incredibly accurate. The "Detroit" style was incredibly flavorful accompanied by a heaping of toppings(I settled on the "I'm A Boss"). I will admit the fries left a bit much to be desired but not enough to influence my rating. “In tonight again after some time away, sitting at the bar, Elvis the host offered a warm friendly greeting at the door. On Friday night Andy is bartending, friendly and great service. The location is excellent in the 1400 block of Chestnut in Center City Philadelphia. Just around the corner from mass transit, city hall and many things you will enjoy, It's connected to the W Hotel. The dining room is comfortable but the music is sometimes loud and generic like elevator music. On a Sunday morning Joseph G. was my server and he too was friendly and attentive, there were very few customers in. The menu is limited but you will find something for everyone. For Dinner on Friday I had Risotto with butternut squash, it was good, not strong flavor of the squash. On Saturday I enjoyed the meatballs, they were delicious and full of flavor. I have heard a number of guests mention how they look forward to coming to Philly end enjoying their meatballs. Multiple nights I enjoyed the TORTA AL CIOCCOLATO it is covered in chocolate ganache, comes with pistachio crumbles and pistachio gelato. This is in my opinion, the BEST dessert in Philadelphia. The staff from the door to the bar to the dining room and management is excellent, focused on your individual experience making every visit memorable and a special occasion.“

“I ordered a plain cheese pizza for take out on a Sunday afternoon. I had to wait 25 minutes but it was worth it. Like most places in the city, parking options are very limited. When I walked in to their shop I saw several happy customers eating away, enjoying their food. The place seats about 20 people. “Fantastic beers! Keen (a dark mild) and Gully (IPA) are personal favorites but they have sooo many different varieties from sours to porters. Also love the wine, particularly the Pinot Gris, and my sister enjoyed the Riesling. The pizza is delicious, love the mushroom pizza and they usually have some kind of yummy special. The buffalo wings have a great heat and are juicy with plenty of meat—I don’t even like wings but these are ones I crave. Lots of veggie options, too—salads, yummy fried artichoke app, and pizzas. “Great new interesting option at a local family run Pizza Shop. They have added Birria pizza to the selection, it's like "Sunday Dinner at Mom's on a slice" it is a very flavorful slow cooked pot roast type beef on pizza crust with excellent flavors and if your over 50 it is likely to take you on a journey back to Sunday dinner at home when you were growing up in the US. It is served with a unique au jus dipping gravy. I still find the dining room uncomfortable, the music and tv is always tuned for the staff not customers and the tables almost all rock and don't match up to each other or the booths well, you have to sit on cracks and such. Also the temperature in the dining room is always a comfortable for the kitchen staff even if you as a customer need gloves and a hat to sit and eat. Tables rarely get wiped. The staff is all pretty nice and the location is convenient to city hall, love park, and transit. I highly suggest you try this today! Take it to go!“

“Ahh thank goodness that there's a really good pizza place so close by! This area is littered with pizza spots, but nothing's really stood out to me until I tried Crust yesterday. I got a small veggie with extra sauce and while the extra sauce probably wasn't necessary, I'm glad I got it that way because the sauce was truly delicious! Even a bit spicy, which means I didn't have to douse it in pepper flakes like I normally have to with pizza. And they don't skimp on the veggies. There was a healthy amount of shrooms, peppers, spinach, and more on top. The crust itself was crisp on the edges but with a soft chew interior, and it was the perfect substrate for all that cheesy, saucy goodness. Will definitely be ordering from here again!
