“My go-to stop when I come through Prospect Park. My grandparents lived there, and their pizza became a must have when we'd visit or spend time at their home in the summer after they opened in '94. When I moved to their house for a semester in college, it was the place I'd grab a pizza from to share with my grandfather and my uncle and bond with them. They're both gone now, but I'm glad to have those memories with them.Just wanted to publicly say thank you for being a part of those, and I'm looking forward to visiting again soon.“

Good cheese awesome crust, most places I don't eat the crust but New London I get a small 10" and eat the whole thing crust and all.I did get a pizza there last week and the crust seemed different, don't know if they changed it or what it was still good but not the same, I'm a little worried because that's my favorite crust..lol“

“The second I walked in for pick up I recognized the gentleman behind the counter. He previously had an establishment, which I considered the best pizza in the area. We ordered chicken ranch and pepperoni pizzas and were not disappointed with either. Both were hot, fresh and delicious (even after the ride home). The store is bright and clean, and the staff was very helpful. After a couple of year of searching, I have found (re-found) our new Delco pizza spot.“

ENVIRONMENT The restaurant is relatively easy to find and seats no more than 5 or so people in the shop. The wait was a tad excessive which I credited to the food being "made with love". FOOD I love a good piece of focaccia! Another contributor commented that their pizza can be likened to focaccia which I would find to be incredibly accurate. The "Detroit" style was incredibly flavorful accompanied by a heaping of toppings(I settled on the "I'm A Boss"). I will admit the fries left a bit much to be desired but not enough to influence my rating. If you're based anywhere in North Philly between Farimount and Erie Ave, I can confidently say Down North is among the top three picks for the area. Happy eating!“

“Get the rib eye! They give you a steak knife. You don’t need a steak knife. I used my butter knife. It was so tender I bet I could have used the side of my fork. Staff is so polite, drinks are so tasty. Appetizers melt in your mouth. And the tiramisu. It’s my favorite and I try every restaurant and pastry shop tiramisu I can find. My compliments to the chef and staff. Absolute heaven!“

“This place is hidden gem. They have a huge menu. I got the chicken parmesan and birria pizza- it blew my expectations away. Chicken parm was honestly better than a lot of local delis. The pricing is very reasonable- probably the most affordable take-out option I’ve found in the neighborhood.“

“As a cheesesteak enthusiast, I was anxious to try the "Jawn" advertised as a pound of prime ribeye on a freshly kneaded roll with caramelized onions and Cooper Sharp. The roll was fresh and warm, and yeasty, but more like pizza crust than the high end Italian rolls one finds at the best cheesesteak joints. Onions were perfect. Cheese was kind of skimpy. The beef was high quality and free of gristle..but a POUND? Maybe 8oz. MAX before cooking. I've eaten several pound steaks, and this ain't one. Fries were very high quality frozen, served piping hot in a cute mini fry-basket. Wife's wings were crispy and didn't get soggy in the plentiful hot sauce. Drinks are very reasonable and staff attentive and friendly. I guess the "Jawn" is a kind of novelty, and the price may reflect the beef grade as opposed to weight. Adorable atmosphere. I'll return, but try the Italian dishes where I suspect they excel.“

“Great new interesting option at a local family run Pizza Shop. They have added Birria pizza to the selection, it's like "Sunday Dinner at Mom's on a slice" it is a very flavorful slow cooked pot roast type beef on pizza crust with excellent flavors and if your over 50 it is likely to take you on a journey back to Sunday dinner at home when you were growing up in the US. It is served with a unique au jus dipping gravy. I still find the dining room uncomfortable, the music and tv is always tuned for the staff not customers and the tables almost all rock and don't match up to each other or the booths well, you have to sit on cracks and such. Also the temperature in the dining room is always a comfortable for the kitchen staff even if you as a customer need gloves and a hat to sit and eat. Tables rarely get wiped. The staff is all pretty nice and the location is convenient to city hall, love park, and transit. I highly suggest you try this today! Take it to go!“

“Ahh thank goodness that there's a really good pizza place so close by! This area is littered with pizza spots, but nothing's really stood out to me until I tried Crust yesterday. I got a small veggie with extra sauce and while the extra sauce probably wasn't necessary, I'm glad I got it that way because the sauce was truly delicious! Even a bit spicy, which means I didn't have to douse it in pepper flakes like I normally have to with pizza. And they don't skimp on the veggies. There was a healthy amount of shrooms, peppers, spinach, and more on top. The crust itself was crisp on the edges but with a soft chew interior, and it was the perfect substrate for all that cheesy, saucy goodness. Will definitely be ordering from here again! I got takeout so I can't really speak to the service, but delivery was punctual so I'd assume it's good! “So I recently discovered this place looking for lunch for work. The first time I ordered from here I got a cheesesteak, cheese waffle fries and a slice of bbq pizza. Now, the fries were good, they give a great portion for a small. The cheesesteak would’ve been great also but someone was a little heavy handed with the salt shaker and they kind of blew the taste for me. Don’t get me wrong, it was good but the overpowering of the salt kind of ruined it but i still ate it. Last is the slice of pizza. “Amazing! I went with my family after my daughter's gymnastics competition and I was pleasantly surprised! I expected good, but this was great! First off, the food was amazing. Their Margherita pizza was my favorite, and my daughter and really like the BBQ mushroom. Secondly, the service couldn't have been better! It is one of my favorite restaurants of Philadelphia! -- Highlights: Both counter service for pizza takeaway and personal pizzas for seated dining are versatile options for the type of dining you're craving. Also, the apple tart is delicious! -- Alice Pizza is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. It offers both counter-service for pizza slices or takeout and limited seating at tables, the bar, and window counters. For takeout, the slices are measured by weight and can be heated or not. I would recommend asking for a long heating if you want your pizza to be very hot. Depending on the person, I've found the pizza is still room temperature. Additionally, for take out, at the time I have written this review, they currently do not accept tap to pay with card, so Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc. will not work and you need to have your physical card on hand. I've dined at Alice Pizza many times and I've found that my vegetarian favorites are the gnocchi, funghi e quattro formaggi (mushroom, four cheeses) pizza, and the apple tart. The gnocchi has a nice chew but isn't too tough. The mushroom pizza has a white sauce and it is so creamy and delicious. However, almost all of their pizzas are winners for me. They are Roman style pizzas, so they have a thicker crust compared to the NY style. Lastly, the apple tart is genuinely one of the best I've had in my life! Its thick crust and not too sweet apples with the ice cream on top are so tasty! Other desserts I enjoy are the tortina del nonna (lemony), banana bread pudding (has nuts), and strawberry ricotta cheesecake (very decadent). I would recommend making a reservation if going for restaurant week or dining at a peak hour. I recommend passing on the gelato for the other desserts, though it is personal preference. Unfortunately, I do not believe they have many/ any gluten free pizza options however they do try to be very mindful of other food allergies. I've always had impeccable service and delicious food at every visit to Alice Pizza. It is a little sunny inside during the day and dim during evenings. The tables are a little close to each other, as well. I highly recommend Alice Pizza for a grab and go bite or for your next date or special occasion! It is especially convenient for those seeing a show at the Kimmel Center or nearby.“

“My wife and I love a good BYOB and were not disappointed here! My wife got the seafood special of the night (stuffed flounder with crab meat) and I got the pasta special (half lobster and scallops served over pasta with a rose sauce).
