“The minute you walk in you know this pizzareia is different than others. Chris, the owners offers a warm funny welcome and you immediately feel like you are standing in your best friends kitchen. He told me he makes the “best pizza” and I took the challenge! I wasn’t even there to eat but meet someone in the parking lot. He offered for me to come in afterward and try a free slice. Instead I ordered two pies to take back to Delaware. While they were in the oven Chris was explaining all kind of things about the art of making pizza. Not to put it piping hot in the box or to leave the full pizza boxes on the top of the oven- tricks only someone who really knew their craft would care about. It was such a fun afternoon, and to think I only stopped in to grab a drink and get change. Oh, the pizza… the best! The crust is to die for- crispy and crunchy not doughy like a garlic knot. The sauce tasted authentic, not sweet like you find at our hometown Grottos. Delicious pizza- rivals NYC slices. A definite pizzeria for the connoisseurs out there and even those that just want damn good pizza! 🍕“

We also love the Nonna’s pie - square, but thinner crusted than a Sicilian pie with a excellent cheese blend and just a bit of heat/spice. “Ordered for the first time this past Friday to try their new menu. My 14 y/o had the lil’ Rita and said it was “so good it’ll make a grown man cry.” My 9 y/o had the mini plain pizza. She’s not usually a fan of pizza but ate 2 slices, so I guess that means she liked it. My husband and I did olive and pepperoni. I love that they use kalamatta olives instead of black olives! The cheesy bread with the garlic butter was also delicious! We’ll definitely add them into our pizza rotation.“

“We just got two large pizzas for our first visit (both were Detroit style - the Motown and the Greektown). For only two people eating, we have almost a whole large pizza of leftovers and let me tell you, I cannot wait to eat them tomorrow. The Motown is the best pepperoni pizza that we have ever had and we are major pizza fans in this family, so that says something! For my Greek fans, I highly recommend that Greektown pizza, so flavorful and don’t even get me started on the crust! 😁“

To top it off the team brought mini cannolis over to our table to celebrate my friend's birthday to the maxx! The team was attentive, kind, hospitable and SMILING! “My wife and I ate here last night (6/27/23), after dropping our son off at St. Joseph's University orientation, and generally speaking, it was fantastic. Our waitress, Jen, was at the forefront of why our experience was so positive. She was attentive, and really engaged us in conversation. We split the cheesesteak eggroll appetizer, which was delicious. For our entree, my wife got a salad with a giant meatball (don't know the name...sorry, LOL). I went with baked lasagna, and I felt the portion was more than enough. I typically finish everything, but we brought a little bit of lasagna home, along with what was left of her salad. We couldn't pass up dessert, and there was a lot to choose from. We settled on the zeppoles, which did NOT disappoint. The 3.5% charge to pay with a card, isn't ideal, but it is clearly stated, on a sign on the hostess station, as soon as you walk in. If that's a possible dealbreaker, there is a cash machine in the restaurant, if you want to pay with cash. We would (and probably will, at some point over the next four years) return!“

“first off, if you make a mistake, correct it and apologize, calling the customer a liar won't get you repeat business. second, make sure when you cuss at and insult a customer to provide the non-english speaking customers entertainment that the legal customers don't have some background with your language, yes, I understood what was being said. third, make sure that when you first threaten a customer with the huge guy in the back that he won't run when you mention I.C.E. and your customer doesn't have friends in the police force! you didn't have to tell me you didn't need my business, I wasn't coming back anyway, but I will send my friends to visit you!! you'll recognize them by their uniforms. in America we apologize for our mistakes and make it right and stay open long time. Just for the record, I received my refund, as well as threats and it was all recorded, check your tapes, look at the phone In my hand. good luck at the hearings. “Amazing food!!!! My son and I were on our way back home (DC area) and wanted to get food in the way back. Why go to fast food or subway when we are in the area of amazing steak and cheese hoagies? Turns out it was on our way home so I ordered myself a steak and cheese and my son a meatball sub (with fries.) I could only eat 1/4 and even the next day it still tasted amazing! The meat was juicy and flavored, soft bread, and fries salty and delicious. My son ate all of his in about 10 minutes. Would love to return again. This time to get pizza. When I went into the restaurant, the pizza smelled so good. I was thinking maybe I should get some. But that’s a lot of food lol. Great place - seems like a hometown favorite for many people eating there and the amount of people I saw come in for pickup.“
