Lang Restaurant (Hong Thanh) is one of Reading, PA's hidden gems, offering authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The filet over watercress is absolutely amazing, and the shrimp papaya salad is a wonderful compliment. The calamari is a must-get, and the sweet and sour chicken (breaded version) with a side of fried rice is absolutely delicious. The wonton soup is amazing, and the fresh spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce are tasty. The coffee Flan and cold Vietnamese iced coffee are great ways to end a meal, and the in-house fresh peach cobbler is off the hook. The Pho is very good, and all other dishes are excellent. The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and perfect for a relaxed meal. Service is warm, attentive, and kind. This is a family-owned business that has been a staple of the community for over 40 years. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic Vietnamese culinary experience.
