“It is a throw back bar.Ok..Ok..It a dive.! but a great dive bar! Walking in takes you back in time. I don't think there is a more laid back bar than Huie's in Berks County. Want to smoke a cigarette? You can. They don't chase you outside to smoke. It is the most non pretentious bar I have every been to. Beer prices are great. Scott, the bartender, is such a nice guy. Pretty damm smart too. Don't challenge him in Jeopardy unless you want to get your butt handed to you. This bar may not be for everyone and that's a good thing but it's good enough for me and all the other nice people who go there!! 1/2/24.. The greatest dive bar in Berks County. There are a lot of regulars and a lot if banter. If you are thin skinned or easily offended, this is not the place for you. If you come in feeling entitled or special, or demanding or complaining you won't feel that way when you walk out. Yeah, it a little clicky but it's like family when you are part of the click.”

“Saw a bunch of posts in the take out and dining group about Hills To Sea in Ephrata so we gave it a try! My husband got a caterpillar roll (eel, avocado, and cucumber) and a noodle dish (can't remember the name). Unfortunately i have yet to find a place that has gluten free eel sauce so I got the salmon crazy roll (minus crispy onions) and the Singapore noodles. Everything was fresh and delicious!! We will definitely be back, especially for those noodles.”

Excellent customer service, they were busy and right in the beginning they told us it might be a bit slower of service which was great communication and it really wasn’t slow in my mind. The owner was friendly and greeted everyone like family. Actually everyone felt like family in there- the atmosphere was amazing. Families, couples, older people, kids, everyone was there and it was nice! We had delicious food- chicken parm, a chicken lasagna with vodka sauce that was delicious and a delicious bowl of butternut squash soup! Bread was good too! We came here because we had a coupon but now we will be back more often! Thanks for providing excellent service and great food 👏🫶🏻”

“We have been doing takeout from Caruso's. We get their steak salads, cheeseburger subs, and garlic bread. Their food has always been decent portions and absolutely delicious. When you walk in the door, the staff is welcoming and very friendly. Only down side is the parking - the lot is not very big. It is sometimes difficult to find a place to park.

Parking: Their parking lot is behind the building and on the small side, considering the number of people that go there.”

Owned by two genuinely kind humans, Rachel and Scott Elliott, this shop has quietly become a place of refuge and community for folks around East Cocalico—and I’ll always be grateful for what it gave me when I needed it most.
