“Came here for the first time and would definitely come back. Food and service was excellent! We got the cheesesteak egg rolls, the clams, and wings! We had two different mules, the Irish and peach and we had the lava cake for dessert. Our server was fantastic! The tavern vibes were spot on!Definitely recommend coming in and trying it out!“

“While I love the Compass Rose, I was a little disappointed last night (3-26-24). I stopped by at 5:00, after North Schuylkill track meet. I was asked if I had reservations, I did not; thought I was beating the rush at that time. About 5 minutes later I was asked if I could come back later. I couldn’t, I live a half hour away. She told me that she don’t have anything available. There was a table right next to where we were standing that was reserved for 6:30. I asked if we could use that table. She told me no because we wouldn’t be done in time for the reservation. Now, I waited a bit for my food there on several occasions, but never spent an hour and half in there for 2 people to eat 3 tacos. I would’ve gladly packaged up whatever food we had left to make sure we were gone by the 6:30 reservation, but I wasn’t given that chance 😞. Still love the place and the food, just wasn’t happy that a worker knew how long it was going to take me to eat and denied service.“

“Cool little old school bar. Cheap drinks. Never ate the food but it looks good. Decent pool table. Bartenders and clientele are friendly. Smoking is permitted which is a big plus for me in the winter especially.“

“Lets be real, it can be really dark and dank inside the bucky, sometimes they got food sometimes they dont, Now they cut the food offerings and entertainment at the busiest time of the year!!! Way to run the bar into the ground! Another unfortunate skookie story!“
