“Amy’s sweet treats made my son‘s birthday cake for his fourth birthday! It was a 12 inch round strawberry cake with buttercream icing! It was absolutely delicious. Two tears of cake that was out of this world delicious! Bursting with strawberry flavor and oozing with sweet buttercream goodness! My son absolutely loved the cake and ate several small pieces of it throughout the week even after his party! The cake served over 40 people, and there was still some left for the remainder of the week. Amy is friendly, organized, and timely! She had everything ready to go and her prices are outstandingly reasonable! I highly recommend this Hometown Business for your next sweet tooth celebration! 🎊”

“I'm told this place has the first liquor license in PA. Fran lives upstairs and still makes the chili, which was hearty and delicious. Be prepared for the smokey atmosphere, as Fran's is grandfathered under non-smoking law. Fran opened this place when she was 25, in 1950's! And it's the only place in town to sit down for a drink. Several Beam & Cokes and a big bowl of chili--$17!!! Need I say more?”

“The only reason for four stars and not five is because we went there specifically for the hot sandwiches that are toasted, namely the steak and cheese. Unfortunately, the toaster was out of service so they couldn't make what we wanted but we did enjoy what we got anyway, and the girl helping us was very friendly, courteous and efficient.”
