“just really good pizza. Not a lot of frills otherwise. We got personal pizzas - plain cheese, taco, and pepperoni with canadian bacon. All excellent and we were stuffed with enough left over for a 2nd meal the next day.”
“Only reason I'm giving 4 and not 5 is that it's small. The people there make you feel at home, beer is cold, food is good and you can still smoke in there.”
“First time trying. For this small town, it was an excellent experience ?. The service was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was cute yet not what I expected. It seems like it was a house turned into a "fancy" restaurant. The prices were more than we expected based on the "cover" of the place. (Diner meets New York prices). The fried haddock seemed kinda small, but other than that, the soup and bread bar was great, the crab stuffed mushrooms were very very good. The maple salmon was tasty, and the desserts looked amazing. We tried the lemon merengue, yum!”
“We enjoy this quaint little hometown restaurant. The staff bust their rears. It is a small place but usually always packed. We enjoy listening to everyone catch up with their friends while we our meals are being prepared. BTW, they make us really good vanilla cokes.?Parking: There's parking in front of the restaurant and their motel, also street parking.Kid-friendliness: We see kids here all the time. Very family oriented.Wheelchair accessibility: Their parking area is flat, and the door is wide enough for a wheelchair. It may be tight getting to a table, but they will accommodate you.”
“They have a puzzle on the table anyone can work on, great service and cute little shop. They don't have alot of food but they have monthly specials of ice cream and coffee. There's cookies to buy as well as a couple small business's merch and creations. So friendly; there is a kids corner as well”
“Today on our journey we stopped at the Dawdy Haus Coffee shop. We had a outstanding and very delectable chicken salad sandwich on a croissant! If you have never been here you must try. I myself had the special Buffalo crunch wrap with spinach.... yummy yummy! Best lunch ever. Service was outstanding, now off to shop in the Whispering Pines store.”
“This is my absolute favorite place to get ice cream. My favorite is the Peanut butter sundae. It's worth the trip! Great sizes for the money, and consistent quality over the past several years. Great little place.”
“Stopped here for lunch after visiting 4 guys fire trucks factory today with our fire dept. Food was EXCELLENT and the prices are unheard of in todays world. BRAVO! A must stop small town diner!”
“Very good Amish owned and family bakery worth going out of your way for with Thursday through Saturday featuring homemade donuts, pies, cinnamon rolls, cookies and homemade bread,”
“By way of this town for one day. Was referred to this ice cream store by the locals. There were plenty of parking spots. There was a long list in their menu. The cones were nice. The banana splits were in good size. Soda floats made the days over the hot afternoon. Sundaes and parfaits looked great. They also offered more than ten kinds of specials. This was really a gem in the town!”
“Always an enjoyable experience! The food is always fresh, well cooked, and delicious! The soup, salad, and dessert bar is well worth the upcharge. On weekends they have a wonderful buffet!! Highly recommend!”
“We were in the area and my husband loved the fried chicken and deep fried ribs! He says he would like to drive the hour from our house to come back and eat the food again.”
“Nice eatery not too far from I-68. Hot Chicken Clucker was perfectly done and tasted great. Their fries are a must get, too. My adult son said their Italian Hoagie was the best he’d ever had and said the bread for the sub was perfect. We’ll be back!”
“Just randomly stopped at Dubbs, for a burger and a beer. Food was excellent! One of the best burgers I have eaten. Food was hot, not to mention the customer service was outstanding. Would highly recommend!”
“My husband and I went for a quiet, relaxing Anniversary weekend. Our expectations were exceeded on all levels.Rooms: Our log cabin was perfect. All amenities were present. Fireplace. 2 sinks. Fridge. Delicious coffee.Should have packed slippers for wood floors.Nearby activities: Hiking trails were diverse and well maintained.Safety: Never gave it a thought...in the middle of the woods.Food & drinks: Dinners were wonderful...service, ambience, selection top notch and fairly priced.Noteworthy details: Every staff member we met was well informed and pleasant.”
“Food is always good, decent prices. My waitress, autumn was great. She even brought out coloring books and crayons for my 4yo while we waited for our order. Will be going back again soon.”
“After a day of hiking and climbing the observation tower at Mt Davis, this restaurant was a welcome site. The food was very good (we had the italian hoagies and fries), served quickly and good and hot. The staff were friendly and ”
“I had a blast ... great band ... great bartenders ... great atmosphere ... great prices ... very clean bathrooms ... and no fighting ... will drive 45mins again was deff a good time ... !!”
“Wow! We had a fabulous time here. Friends and I biked the GAP trail over 4 days and this was absolutely our favorite stay. Our sitting room (Hoover I think) was large and comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen. Both bedrooms were great, the bathroom was large with a very nice shower. And the building and decor are lovely and well-designed and curated. If I ride the GAP again this is the first reservation I’ll make.”
“There was this worker down there Maddie and she was the kindest worker I've ever met and made my sandwich with so much love honestly would probably stop getting food there If she left ❤”
“My husband and I are staying at Savage River Lodge, and wanted to try some of the local foods. We ended up on deciding with this restaurant, and it was some of the best food I've had! We got the Raging Rooster, Steak fried Wedgie, chicken wings with the Spicy Ranch sauce, the sweet and Sassy fries, and some tenders. Everything was on point, and made our day. Unfortunately he didn't catch the name of the woman who helped him with the order, but he said she was beyond friendly and happy. We can't wait to go again next time we are here!”
“I ordered mayonnaise on my BLT hoagie with extra on the side. I got back to the hotel, and I had zero mayonnaise on my sandwich and zero in the side. It was good, but what good is a BLT without mayo?”
“Food was good and service was warm and friendly. It took an oddly long time for the food to arrive, however. ~30 minutes for a panini and a chicken and waffle, even though the place was nearly empty.”
“Got my food made fast, and to the exact way I wanted. An the person making my sub was very nice and kind. I will definitely return and I would definitely recommend this subway.”
“I love Heh pizza. We got a pepperoni, sausage and bacon pizza and it was so delicious. We also got a salad and pepperoni roll and they were both great as well. One thing I recommend is having a sign on your window or somewhere that says you only accept cash and checks as payment. This was our 1st time visiting Heh pizza and we didn't realize credit cards are not accepted. I am just glad my husband had some cash on him. Thanks.”
“Located at the junction of 2 major Highways in the large Pavilion and having several restaurants together, something for everyone. But Burger King is my go-to and grab a bite to eat and keep it moving, breakfast, lunch or dinner.”
“Amy did my daughter's wedding cake and cupcakes and did not disappoint! The cake and cupcakes were amazing! Amy was very friendly and professional to work with and did exactly what my daughter ordered. 100% would use Amy's Sweet Treats again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
