8 Best Chinese Restaurants near Schuylkill Haven

“For a little restaurant in the skook, they aren’t bad, not at all.
I’ve had a variety of the many different dishes they offer over the years and some of the complaints aren’t accurate at all. I’ve never had them over charge me, and I’ve never had issues with my meal. The food’s always been solid and they are kind when I stop in.
Now, their seating area was closed due to COVID and it took them a bit to reopen it, but I can confirm it’s reopened because I’m in the building as I’m writing this.
I’ve tried a lot of Chinese restaurants in the area however, yet I always find myself coming back to New China. Especially for their cheese wontons, they aren’t sweet as other places and I really like that. I’ve been eating here for years now and the food’s consistent and it’s good. It’s not some 5 star Michelin restaurant, but it doesn’t have to be, it’s good food for fair price and it always lasts me a few days.“

“Great place food is good Im visiting from Connecticut guy took care of me Good.He does sound like they have a Lil attitude but that just how they talk I was fine with it I prefer serious people most I love about this place I could enjoy seen my food getting cooked not like em other places where everything is hidden will definitely come back to this place.“

“Cash Only place, no delivery. Offerings are you standard Chinese food options, but made better than standard. Crispy noodles and sauce are such a tasty app. Usually get sweet n sour, lo mien, boneless ribs, or soup and have never been disappointed in the quality and flavor. Owner and staff are very kind, friendly, and remember you and your regular orders. Can't go wrong.“

“You won’t find better priced or better tasting Chinese food in this area. Everything I’ve had especially their chicken wings are delicious! Their eggrolls are cooked to perfection and I will be going back to try their fried dumplings which I will update my review after. They offer delivery through uber eats for those of you that may not want to leave the house and the delivery fee usually isn’t much and uber works with them to offer discounts I’ve noticed.“

“My husband and I are new to Pottsville, Pa and having moved here from Newark,Nj's Ironbound district, our biggest dilemma has been finding the best takeout. We've struggled with the usual Fast food, Italian, Mexican and forget about finding Caribbean food! But... our Chinese food needs are totally satisfied by China King! We've tried 3 to 6 different menu options and have nothing but great things to say! Delish, delish, delish! My fave, Singapore Chow Mei fun is fantastic. Their pork fried rice tastes like real pork. Their shrimp rolls and crab Rangoon are not greasy. Serving size is adequate and their pricing is fair considering you can feed 2 on what you would spend for one chicken chelupa and a soda at T.B.!

Now if they could just recomend great Portuguese and Puerto Rican restaurants!!!!! :)“

“We went on a Saturday evening after shopping. We walked in a 8:03, they closed at 9. They verbally told us 3 times. They squished everyone in one small section while they cleaned everywhere else. The buffet itself was rather small compared to others. But what they did have was a decent variety and tastey. Staff was attentive even though they were preoccupied with closing duties. Server was very friendly unlike the host. Overall not terrible, especially considering we came in an hour before closing. We still prefer the larger buffets that close at 10 on weekends, but if we're in the area we wouldn't hesitate to go back.“
