“Best attitude in customer and very service oriented people. Always ready to give you assistance. The egg sandwiches on Saturday morning are the best ever. I especially like the bagel one with bacon and my husband likes the English muffin one with sausage. They also have the best custard filled, chocolate covered eclairs I have ever tasted. Their coffee beans are also best coffee ever. We have tried coffee beans in other places but this coffee tastes great. And that's that.”

“Had a really great experience at The Nutty Pear. The service was a little slow, but honestly, the pacing of the meal was perfect. The bread starter, appetizer, and main course all came out at just the right times, so we never felt like we were waiting around. We actually didn't realize how long we'd been there because everything flowed so well. The cocktails were delicious, and our waitress was awesome and on top of everything all night. Definitely recommend this for a date night.”

“We love this place. We've been coming here for a long time and have watched it transform into where they are now in 2026. They're killing it! Such a great staff and atmosphere. Excellent breakfast. Their ham steak is the best.”

“Cool little old school bar. Cheap drinks. Never ate the food but it looks good. Decent pool table. Bartenders and clientele are friendly. Smoking is permitted which is a big plus for me in the winter especially.”

“If you like old places with history this is a cool place to go. I visited for the first time while I was up shooting in a pool tournament around the corner from here at The Arena Billiards and Arcade. I I like old buildings and especially older bars or taverns. The smell reminds me of my younger days but the prices quickly rem I nd me that its not back in the time of 10 7oz draft beers for a $1 during happy hour on a Saturday afternoon. Regardless of that the decor i enjoyed checking out and the bartenders name was Kevin. Hes a very nice guy who will make you feel like hes known you for a while. He explains the menu choices and lets you know if you need or have any questions just let him know that hes there tobmake sure your visit is above average and hopes you will come back to visit again. They have a diamond pool table there and I believe there was some kind of skills machines. Like any bar theres the regular patro s which there were 3 that were there when I visited. They were all very friendly and welcomed me and made my visit more enjoyable as well as involving me in the conversation they were having. I didnt feel like an outsider which was a definite plus and was a reason for me to return again very soon when im back there again. They had some kind of burger which smelled and looked very good. Unfortunately I didnt get to try that during my visit but I will be enjoying one the next time . 2 of the 3 patrons had gotten one and they raved over it. So of your like me and enjoy retro places and just people from a small town hanging out with not alot of craziness going on. I recommend stopping in for a bite to eat and a drink or 2 . You will definetley appreciate the history thats still in the town.”

“For a little restaurant in the skook, they aren’t bad, not at all.
I’ve had a variety of the many different dishes they offer over the years and some of the complaints aren’t accurate at all. I’ve never had them over charge me, and I’ve never had issues with my meal. The food’s always been solid and they are kind when I stop in.
Now, their seating area was closed due to COVID and it took them a bit to reopen it, but I can confirm it’s reopened because I’m in the building as I’m writing this.
I’ve tried a lot of Chinese restaurants in the area however, yet I always find myself coming back to New China. Especially for their cheese wontons, they aren’t sweet as other places and I really like that. I’ve been eating here for years now and the food’s consistent and it’s good. It’s not some 5 star Michelin restaurant, but it doesn’t have to be, it’s good food for fair price and it always lasts me a few days.”

“Stopped by to support this small business and was Not disappointed! The ladies gathered me an Angel themed goodie box for family who just lost a loved one. Angels, snowflakes, purple rice crispy snowman with pink gingerbread men. It was perfect and Delicious! Thank You Friends for your kindness! I will definitely be Back!”

“This was my first visit I didn’t eat, I just wanted to check it out since it’s been changed from Martin’s farm Market
I was sad to see they’re not offering any live plants in the greenhouse anymore other than the mums they had outside . Guess the new owners have different ideas of what they’re going to offer. Which is good too they still offer everything needed to bake your own bread etc and fruit, vegetables, cold drinks, then subs, sandwiches and now a little coffee shop to sit and enjoy a coffee. You can also purchase coffee beans and bags of ground coffee. So I’d still recommend stopping by.”

“After a long time, we enjoyed a delicious foot-long veggie sub before making a pit stop at Domino's for pizza. In the end, my family was happy that we decided to stop for the sub.

“Ok, it’s not the Ritz, but the food is good, and the service is friendly and efficient. Sundays are really busy, so be aware. I judge my breakfast place on coffee. Their’s is good. Stopped going to another because the cheap coffee tasted nasty-NOT HERE! Good coffee-S.O.S. Could use a little more beef😉”

“The Summit burger is my favorite burger in the area. And that’s saying something, because I get burgers everywhere I go. 😂 The pretzel bun is fresh, the cheese is high quality, burger cooked perfectly and the fries are awesome as well. On top of that, it’s a beautiful atmosphere.”
