I'm pretty picky about Sweet & Sour Chicken, and it's been difficult to find a local spot that compared to our favorite place about 30 minutes away.

The portions here were generous, the prices reasonable and the food is delicious. I am a sucker for chicken and broccoli, but I find a lot of places skimp on quality and don't balance the chicken to broccoli... it's usually too much of one or the other. They balance everything well, which was nice to discover.

Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. My other half got the Crab Rangoon and said it was excellent, but maybe too much for just one person.

We definitely plan to order from here again!!“

“Awesome food. We had a dirty plate that I noticed only because it was wet and I used the black cloth napkin to wipe it dry. My napkin had white residue on it. I asked for a new plate and did get one. Also, most of the time we have to ask for fortune cookies. They used to be given with our check. We do love eating here, and drive 50 minutes from our home to get here. We saw the wonderful manager and Chef from our last visit.“

“After getting food poisoning from Great Wall, I found Rice House. They have the absolute most incredible and fresh food. I highly recommend getting their coconut chicken, honey chicken, sweet-and-sour chicken, egg rolls, their duck sauce is the best. Their portions are very generous and they have lunch specials up until 3 PM every day. My daughter and I absolutely love this restaurant and the owners are so sweet. I’m so glad that our community is giving them great business and I see all online positive reviews from other customers around our area. A MUST TRY! You will not be disappointed!!!“

“If you’re craving good lo mein, look no further. At the recommendation of someone on the local community page, we tried King House a few months ago and now this is the ONLY place I get Chinese from.

Their vegetable lo mein is always loaded with veggies, super flavorful & fresh. It’s not greasy like some other places either. The Singapore mei fun, General Tao’s, wonton soup & steamed dumplings are fantastic as well, and the owners/employees are always so friendly to boot.

“I just ordered from here and oh my goodness that was so good. I got basic sweet/sour chicken, white rice, wonton soup, and Chinese donuts. The chicken was so fresh and crispy. The chicken was also really good quality, very trustworthy. Flavor of the wonton soup was on point and it was stuffed with wontons. The donuts could have been covered with more sugar but the dough was still good. I can tell the oil they are using is fresh (at least for my experience.) Food was ready fast.“

Our favorite was the boneless spare ribs combo and their fried chicken wings. Definitely recommend getting chili oil on the side if you like it spicy!“

“This is one of those "hole-in-the-wall" places that are mainly set up for take out orders. Although they do have a few tables for dining in, I don't think they have wait service. ? (That's just my opinion because it's not that type of restaurant with the ambiance. The tables are there more for if you'd rather sit there to eat your food, IMO)... I really love their scallion pancakes as an appetizer as well as their General Tso's, Chicken in Garlic Sauce, and Mu Shu Pork! ? I feel like a Chinese food conoiseur and this is the only place that I will order from. Moved to a neighboring area over 12 years ago and I've tried every single Chinese place over the years. Such a delightful treat, an affordable luxury. Stopped by after replacing all 5 tires (the 5th one is a secret) on my vehicle looking for a bargain and met my perfect match with quality, quantity and pricing. Such a marvelous event! “This has been our family's go-to takeout place for the past 8 years. My kids have grown up loving their "dippy chicken" (sweet and sour), and their lo mein has gotten us all through some bad days. Feeling down? Go get yourself some lo mein from Mayflower, make yourself a cup of tea at home, and cozy up under a soft blanket. If I'm having an especially rough day, a side order of steamed vegetables and some crab rangoons can make the world feel a little better. My youngest child says the only way he likes cashews is when he has the cashew chicken from Mayflower. My husband, without fail, orders the bourbon chicken every time. Even when he says he might want to switch it up, we all know he'll still end up ordering the bourbon chicken. For good reason - it is incredibly good! I usually order their pad thai. I know, they are not listed as a thai food place, but they still make the best pad thai I've had within a 20 mile radius! I like to get mine extra spicy so it has a little kick. Their Mongolian beef is good. I've gone through a few phases where I'll prefer their Schezuan chicken or hunan chicken, or I'll feel like trying something a bit different - everything I've tried has been good. I will say that I prefer the white rice over fried, I don't order the general tsao's very often because I find it a little too sweet, and while I don't mind their boneless spare ribs, they aren't something I order often as they can be a little dry, but those are all personal preferences. Also, thank goodness for online ordering! I have anxiety and trouble hearing, which can make talking on the phone or placing orders in person nearly impossible at times, so I greatly appreciate the ability to click a few buttons and know that my order will be ready quickly. That said, the people are always very friendly, their delivery driver always greets me with a smile, and it's clear that a lot of care is put into their business. I look forward to many more years, knowing if I ever need a little joy through the day, an order from Mayflower is a great place to start.“

(Chinese vegetables) She asked if I wanted the noodles. I said "NO, noodles are Lo Mein, I want Chow Mein. Low and behold when I opened my bag I had Lo Mein. The day before I walked in for fried rice. I initially said no to soy sauce but changed my mind 2 seconds later. Got home. No soy sauce. I understand that it gets busy but what I value most in customer service is the art of listening. I WILL continue to eat there but I quess I'll have to reiterate my request to make sure I'm getting what I want. Nobody's perfect.“

“The general tso's sauce IS the best! I get the general tso's tofu (don't knock it till ya try it) and it's great every single time. Their tofu(or whatever)+ broccoli (brown sauce) is really good as well. I don't usually get the fried rice but I recall it being decent. Not a sit in restaurant and it isn't the most welcoming store front as another person as mentioned, but the food is fast and delicious and I have never had a single issue.
