“First time at Hoss's. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was spotless! I never eat salad bars because I don't know who has been touching what... yuck! Well, I had the soup, salad, nacho and dessert bar!! The person(s) keeping up on it were up on every crumb, drop and refill. While I was getting my soup the attendant asked me if there was enough.
My only little bit of a minus - the queso, taco meat and nacho cheese were kinda runny- not that I still didn't enjoy a small plate. It was just very messy and not what you think it's going to be.
Everything tastes wonderful though!!!

“This is the best Burger King we have been in. Food was fresh and tasty. The highlight here was the staff. They greeted us when we walked in. Gave information about substitutions and were super friendly!”

“Looks can be deceiving! On the outside and inside, this place looks a little rough, Honestly. The optics, however, belie the food, which was spectacular! It came really really quickly as well; truly fast food. This has to be highlighted: like 1 minute between ordering and delivery! This is definitely one of the best, if not the best place to stop in Shamokin Dam, much better than Panera or the such. I had forgotten how much of a diverse selection Arby’s in general, as opposed to this specific location, has; the food is spectacular and very different: more than the normal burgers eat cetera one comes to expect from a fast food place. I highly recommend the steak bites bowl and Mac and cheese. I love Mac and cheese, and I am pleased to share that Arby’s has the second best fast-food Mac and cheese. It was really affordable, too!”

“Rather unusual that a place known for very good smoked meat entries would have such a good fish dinner. We've had the broiled haddock on several occasions and find it always enjoyable. Nice seasoning - not too salty- moist but not drenched in oil, as is often the case. Very good baked potato and coleslaw. An excellent value Be aware prices shown on this review site are out of date. “Fresh and healthy food in small town PA. I followed the reviews to Alees Cafe and was NOT disappointed. The gentleman at the counter wasn’t just nice, he was kind and cordial. He delivered to my table an amazing Turkish Coffee and Hummus Wrap as ordered. The smell and presentation of the coffee was so inviting. My wrap was delicious and stuffed really fat. The person in the kitchen is clearly cooking with love. I am leaving full and refreshed. I saved this spot on my map and hope to return again. Maybe they will again be playing familiar American tunes backed by a Lebanese band on their stereo.”

“Stopped here for lunch today, highly recommend! Hole-in-the-wall locals vibe with great classic rock playing and 80’s 90’s slacker movie memorabilia on the walls. And race car parts! Staff was super friendly and snarky, which is a positive in my book. Had a Coney Island all the way with spicy chili, and a plain beef dog (for all the stuff that inevitably falls off the Coney dog). Delicious!”
