The smoked chicken wings were seasoned to perfection and the brisket was flavorful and tender. If you are trying to decide where to get BBQ by the river, skip the windy view across the way in favor of the better quality meats and sides at Southern BBQ and Ice Cream. Suggestion: please offer Arnold Palmers, they go great with smoked meat!!“

“Selin’s Grove Brewing is a must‑stop in the heart of Selinsgrove. The historic building and cozy interior make it a great choice for weekday evenings or weekend afternoons. Their house‑brewed beers are worth trying, especially if you go for a flight to sample the IPA, stout, and seasonal styles and the food menu (from sandwiches to vegetarian chili and salads) complements the beers nicely.

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and you can even enjoy outdoor seating when the weather’s nice. The atmosphere is casually social without being too loud, making it ideal for catching up with friends or a relaxed date night.“

“We visited to hear Cass and the Bailout Crew on a Friday night. The band was great, the food and service were good. The beer was excellent. The big negative for us was that we had to reserve for 10 people with a $100 down payment and final payment had to be on one card. This meant scrambling when a couple backed out and having to have cash on hand to give to the person paying with the card. I hope Jackass reconsiders this policy.“

“It was 20 minutes til close on a Wednesday night and my boss and I were heading back to trevorton from harrisburg after a long day at work. We walked in and they were about shut down for the night, but we were starving after a long days work. Rosario (the manager) was so gracious and kind to us, saw the starvation and exhaustion in our faces, and offered us the rest of the slice pie and a stuffed foccacia for no charge. Needless to say, we were overcome woth gratitude and gave them whatever cash we had in our pockets. I had worked for the same family of owners, in elysburg, for a few years about 15 years ago at a time in my life when nobody should have given me a job. Anyways, it warmed my heart to see that spirit of kindness handed down to the next generation.
