We got 4 different dishes so we could try a little bit of everything! The coffee was absolutely perfect! We both got cappuccinos. We also got the cannoli french toast, cream chipped beef, garden omelette and the reuben. The sweet potato fries are light and crispy. Definitely on the pricey side but was 100% worth it for our anniversary date. We love to support local small businesses!!“

“Leaving Philly after a weekend road trip and decided to stop here for an early dinner. Easy to get to (right off the turnpike), they have a nice-sized bar that's separate from the dining area. They had several options for gluten-free and dairy-free dishes. All food was reasonably priced. When ordering, I mentioned to the waitress that I have Celiac disease and she went above and beyond checking with me and the chef to make sure my food was safe. They did very well accommodating my dietary restrictions. Happy and relaxing atmosphere with kind staff and amazing food! 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!“

Today was my first time experiencing Brooklyn Place and I must say that I am very pleased.
Went in thinking it was just a Cafe and I wanted to support a local Cafe in my area of Reading, to my surprise it is a full restaurant.
The staff is very polite and go above and beyond for their customers. Nice quiet place, comfortable atmosphere and plenty of parking in this shopping center.

My order was a large iced coffee, a veggie omelette with home fries, rye toast and a side of sausage. Total cost was $18 and some change.

Iced coffee: Best I have ever had. I have previously worked in cafes and Starbucks, also I am a coffee fiend, and try new places often. In my 37 years on this planet, I have never had an iced coffee this good. Just with cream and sugar.
Veggie Omelette: Delicious, but a tad bit on the greasy side. Very fair with the ingredients/fillings, without being too dense, still fluffy.
Home Fries: Soft, golden brown, seasoned cubes of joy. Very good. Personally I would like them fried just a little longer to give them a light crunch.
Rye Toast and Sausage: Bagged Rye sandwich bread, not seeded. Basic, but honestly we don't need some fancy bread or anything like that. A thumbs up for the toast and sausage links.

Definitely will be coming back and bringing family. They got themselves a new recurring customer.“

“Y'all, we went to Sunrise Mount Penn Deli (on Carsonia, where Jake's used to be) for lunch today, and I have got to say, we had the best chicken cheese steak and fries ever, their smoothies are made with the freshest fruit and veg and taste like a dream (we tried banana, mango, pineapple), and their ice cream (especially the coffee) is to die for. Everyone who works there is so friendly and happy, singing along with Sylas and getting to know us all. Hugs and smiles and just happiness all around in that place. We can't wait to go back!“

Instantly greeted at the door with smiles. Our server was friendly, happy and very attentive. The Manager (I believe DJ) checked on us a few times to make sure we were taken care of and he was very good with talking with the other tables as well to see how they were doing. “We go to Crossroads regular since it is close to work. We'll after lunch today, NEVER AGAIN. We were scolded by our waitress. We ordered a burger and fries and added the 3.99 charge for a salad. I ordered a crock of soup for 5.99 and ate my husbands salad. She pointed at us and said that is a big No,No,No. Then intern charged us for the salad bar of 10.99 and the extra fee to add to his meal of 3.99. When went up to pay they said we shared. My husband did not eat a salad I ate it instead of him. We paid for it so who cares who eats it, it was paid for. Argued to remove the side salad. What a going on. They kept saying we Shared why we did not we ate 1 salad and no soup from the salad bar, I paid extra for a different soup. We said we won't ever come back they said thats fine-bye. Instead of beginning polite the male in charge was rude. To pay 40.00 for lunch we don't need to go back to be treated like a 5 year old. We will take our business somewhere else on Route 61.“

The kind of folks who go out of their way to say hello as they make their way to the bar.Sometimes, after work, feeling a bit peckish, I will peruse the menu and discover some great interpretations of salads (Caesar) and snacks (Truffle fries) that hit the spot and keep me busy enjoying one of my favorite past times: eating. And from what I've seen at various and sundry tables at various times through the course of any given evening, this kitchen delivers hearty inspired entrees sure to give you reason to give positive word of mouth with regard to culinary talent. “First time there.. Service was fast and good! We ate outside and I read negative reviews about the flies, bugs, and bees. It wasn't worse than any other outside eating establishment. It was a warm summer night. Great atmosphere outside, and good music. The food was a little expensive but you get what you paid for and I got 2 dozen clams and a cali burger and a few drinks. The meal was great and i'm ready to go back again. Plenty of parking and the tables are spread out nicely to give you distance from others.“

Both dishes were very good. Service was slow and the meals took over 30 mins to get to us on a day that was far from busy. The inside looks like they are either doing some renovations or just fixing stuff here and there. Either way, the work was a bit of an ambiance killer. Will go again for the food.
