“My husband & I were on our way to a Phillies game yesterday when it got postponed. The next exit off the NE Extension was Harleysville to turn around. I hopped on Yelp! and found Jesse’s - we wanted to eat before heading back home to Berks County. We are SO glad we did! The BEST BBQ ever!! The staff was super friendly & helpful with recommendations, since it was our first time. We went with the BBQ Sampler & added cornbread muffins with honey butter. EVERYTHING was delicious! I’m, personally, not a lover of ribs…they might have been my favorite!!! Looks like we have a new place to stop when we are heading to Phillies games!!! Or we need to find reasons to go to Souderton so we can get to Jesse’s more often!!“

“My husband and I have been regulars since they opened. We lived in Philly for 45 years, enjoying Indian food there, as well as NY and London. Green Chili is 10/10+ each and every time! We are thrilled to have this restaurant close by, as excellent ethnic foods are impossible to find up this way. The owners are dedicated to to their craft and customers. We highly recommend Green Chili. They opened another store a few doors down, with desserts and snacks - we will be trying the Kulfi ice cream tonight. We have loved everything we ordered and still so many more dishes to try. We almost always do take-out. Be patient when placing your order....they are busy!!“

“My family and I had an incredible dining experience tonight at Umai. We had a special, Kinmedai aka Golden Eye Snapper that was so fresh and tasty, out of this world good! We also had a treat with broiled tuna cheek that was also outstanding. Otoro was so velvety and rich, spicy hotate, sweet ebi, unagi, fried crabs, incredible sushi rolls, savory Akadashi (my son ordered a second it was so good) and everything else we ordered tonight was just incredible. Thanks so much to Rae and his wonderful staff for one of the best meals I've ever had - the best sushi in this area for sure and such friendly excellent service to accompany it! 🙂 Thanks for such wonderful hospitality and all the extra goodies Rae. “We ordered takeout for a family gathering and had an outstanding experience. We had dietary restrictions that Peppino's easily and correctly accommodated. The staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered Peppino's famous tomato pie, the upside down pizza loaded with fresh toppings, Peppino's awesome Italian hoagie and a juicy Roast Pork sandwich. Every bite was delicious. I highly recommend Peppino's to anyone searching for great Italian pizza and sandwiches in a welcoming, local shop.“

So much so, that she plans on bringing her crew there for their next hang. We ordered from the lunch specials- eel for me with particularly tasty miso soup- I could smell the smoky scent that tells me it will be flavorful & it was. I HAD to have the spicy tuna sandwich too-it’s still as delicious as I remember from quite a few years ago. My aunt had a beef teriyaki bento box from the bottom of the lunch specials list on the menu & she enjoyed that & everything else in the Boxed Lunch. I let her try my eel and the marinated daikon from the platter & she was surprised at how yummy they both were. Portions were generous too. The staff were very nice, and attentive. We couldn’t have had a nicer experience. We’ll be back much sooner next time.“

As far as the atmosphere, it is quaint but clean & always friendly! 😊 The mural on the wall gives the feeling of Tuscany or maybe Sicily but honestly it's the people that make this place what it is!!
