Awful tasting food. Hard to believe people eat here on purpose.

The final restaurant that management has to ruin. Jen refuses to turn a TV to the Phillies game without effort or remorse. The garlic bruschetta used to be a great dish but it was uninspired with two pieces of soggy toast. Pizza crust was dry and probably not a fresh batch. It is a sad finale to what used to be a high quality family business.

Never been to this restaurant, we were in State College and decided to try a new place to eat. Food was great and the service was A+, we had a 2 year old with us and the waitress Lauren worked with him so well and gave him things to keep him content. Will be sure to visit againKid-friendliness: Lauren did a fantastic job of keeping the 2 year old at the table content and happy.

After almost 20 years of living out of state, I got to share a vodka flakey with my son and his father last night, both of whom are new to State College.I cannot explain how much the experience meant to me - especially after having worked at a Hi-Way location in my 20s. The ingredients were superb! The flavor was everything I remembered and more! I can safely say that my little family will continue to support this local tradition for as many more generations as possible!I've also witnessed the way delivery service drivers are treated - with as much respect as their customers! Amazing job, Zangrilli family!

A local institution since the 60’s - and the stuffed pizza was one of the best I’ve had anytime anywhere.

I ordered the Detroit which is a six slice, 10" x 14", deep dish pizza. As you can see they put the sauce on top of the cheese in two strips. The pizza was done perfectly! I loved the crisp outer crust and the soft, chewy inside of it. There was plenty of cheese and, though I wasn't sure about how they put on the sauce, I had no problem with it and loved the taste of the whole pizza! This is not a place where you can go in and get a slice, but a nice dining experience. I could do without all the TVs but the place was clean and well kept.I would totally go back and hope I can bring my family the next time I'm in State College!

The restaurant is a nice Italian-American place, but far from the traditional Italian pizzeria that it sells itself as. I liked the Italian headers on the Menu, but please make sure that they actually mean something in Italian (i.e. piatto principale doesn’t really mean anything in Italian, a better translation for main would be “secondi” or “secondi piatti”). The calzone was good and the pizza dough had a great taste and consistency, but for God’s sake don’t cut it open for me. I get so much pleasure from cracking it open and seeing the steam come out of it. Also, not everything needs to be drenched in marinara sauce. The service was good and speedy, everything seemed priced right, except for the pizza’s being a little on the expensive side.

If y'all need a pizza fork for bubbles, lemme know and I'll cover the $10. Shameful this went out the door.Edit to add the photo of the large bubble side was also burnt.Creosote belongs in the chimney, not on my pizza, thanks.
