I had good service and the place is really nicely decorated with typical Mexican themed brightly colored decorations. The food was not that great. I got a chicken fajita and the the chicken was cut so small and they gave way too many onions and peppers. I think it was trying to make you think you got more so you don't realize how little chicken they gave you. Price was a little high I thought for what I got. It wasn't bad food, but I was a little underwhelmed.

First time at the restaurant. The food was delicious and Juliana was a sweet and new server. The manager Brianna is fantastic! A must try if you haven't. My mom enjoyed the fried ice cream 🙂

One of my favorite restaurants. I've only been for dinner but the food is always rocking. The servers and staff are very friendly and provide excellent service. I also like that they serve alcohol (they didn't when they first opened) and their margaritas are delicious. Very affordable for a family meal or for just yourself. Can't recommend this place enough.

I’ve given Rey Azteca many chances. The margarita tower is great to share with friends for the price, and the food is always spot on. However, I’ve eaten here about six times now, and only once from our server, Kyle (several visits ago) did we actually receive good service and attentiveness. Yes, the food is excellent every time (the only reason we’ve given them so many chances) but in the several times I’ve eaten there the service is extremely poor. On a Monday evening we were nearly done with our food before our server ever came to check on how everything was. This has happened several times before where the server doesn’t notice that complimentary chips and salsa were empty and we had to ask for more versus being offered more. As someone who has worked in food service, it is not the responsibility of the customer to have to ask for refills of anything (even drinks, which on a number of occasions has happened). Many times I’ve eaten here the servers are extremely “short” with you and do not offer any hospitality towards their patrons other than taking orders and delivering drinks at the beginning of the service. Again, the food is amazing, but the service from certain employees after giving many chances to this business is extremely disappointing. Long story short: food is great, but good luck on the service you receive. I will be calling ahead to see if certain servers are there in the near future, or I won’t be returning. It’s just a hit-or-miss place recently for my friends and I.

Used to eat here often, until one night I found a gnat in my cheese dip, then a winged bug walked out from under a chip and spread it's wings like it just woke up. Showed the bugs to the staff and they acted like it wasn't a big deal. It is a big deal, now there's no descent Mexican in state college

We were craving for some Mexican food and went to this Mexican restaurant nearby our hotel. Ordered a few dishes for sharing, fajitas, burritos, enchiladas, etc…. and an imported Mexican Coca Cola!
I would have to say the food here is phenomenal. Big shoutout to the beef steak fajitas and the chicken enchiladas! Absolutely delectable!

Got food to go. They're really nice there but the food I got was flavorless. Very bland, the rice was almost white, boiled and flavorless potatoes, and too salty. I ordered off the vegetarian menu, maybe they hate vegetarians and that's why they did me like this.
Vegetarian options: It is all Lacto-vegetarian, if dairy it a problem for you.
