Two for lunch on a Thursday. We were seated quickly, although the servers were quite busy and it took a while to order. They have lunch specials at reasonable prices (see my photo of this menu page). Food came out quickly and was tasty. Servers refilled our waters many times throughout the meal. Overall a good experience.

Staff was unfriendly. Wasn't overly busy but music was cranked to an unreasonable volume that you can't have a conversation with people at your table.

Food is always great and I love the fact that they also sell seafood boil bags at a reasonable price.

I was taken here by my granddaughter for my birthday. It was a wonderful experience. My first in 81 years.

I forgot how good the food was after not visiting for so long. The bento boxes are very generous amounts of food. I got the teriyaki beef and my wife got the chicken katsu. Both come with soup, salad, vegetable sushi, rice, shrimp tempura, root vegetable tempura, and shu mai all of which turned out really tasty.

We had a wonderful experience dining at the Sakura restaurant. We ordered the snow crab legs shrimp boil. It was such a feast, particularly, my kid enjoyed very much of the all hands-on and mouse watering experience with eating juicy mussels, cracking snow crab legs, as well as the mild spicy corn and potato. The smile makes it definitely a fun family night out. In addition, the sushi chef also made two special sushi dishes for us (they are not even on the menu yet), very yummy and fancy. Highly recommended!

I don’t feel that sushi is fresh. The noodle taste is ok but no surprise. I don’t recommend.

Met up with a local foodie group for lunch here. It was my first time in Sakura and I was looking forward to it.

The place was clean and well decorated. Menus, napkins, and chopsticks were already on our table of ten. The restaurant is BYOB but offers glassware and openers if needed.

Our orders were taken and while we waited and conversed, bowls of steamed and salted edamame were placed for us to enjoy.

My order, a tempura shrimp bento box, came with Miso soup which arrived shortly after the edamame. Rich broth with small squares of tofu and pieces of seaweed. It was well flavored and very tasty.

Lunch was then served as our table all had ordered various boxes. Mine was heaped high with crispy tempura shrimp (2), broccoli (1), onion rings (2), and white/sweet potato chunks (3). A bowl of teriyaki sauce was just the right touch for dunking. Also included was a generous portion of steamed white rice, California rolls, and shumai. The shumai was probably the best I've ever eaten.

Lunch portions were substantial and more than I could eat in one setting. It was a very pleasant experience and based on the number of patrons dining, seems to be quite popular.

Excellent Japanese food in State College. We had an appetizer and a main dish each and it all came reasonably fast and it was amazing. The place is very well put together too, and the staff is nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend and come back.
