Had an amazing experience. Visiting for a wedding and it met all my expectations. Highly recommend
Great food, staff can be a bit rude though
Everything is delicious here. Always freshly made. Ordering online and pick up in store is great. Wish there was delivery or door dash options. Lunch special is a great option between 11am-3pm
I got sick and had to find bathrooms right after eating lunch there. I wont go back.
I understand that it was a busy day, but it was hard to accept that we saw 3 groups seated after us recieve their orders first. It was a table of two, and we ordered within 5-10mins of being seated. We ended up having to cancel our orders. It was extremely disappointing to have to leave before we received our orders.
The waitresses are always rude and make you feel bad for asking for anything. And I felt a sick after eating their food
This is the first time we have been there and we absolutely love this place. My spicy sushi roll was fantastic. We came from out of town, Altoona area, because we heard good things about this place. The prices are as reasonable as any other sushi place we've gone to. Love the decor and the wooden tables and chairs. Will definitely go back. There were seven of us and everybody enjoyed what they had.
Get the korean beef bulgogi bao buns
One of the best sushi I’ve had in staes. Really delicious sushi place, nicely decorated in rustic style. Plenty of options for traditional and “modern sushi”. Other options looked great too—pork udon was lovely as well. Will visit again soon!
One of the best sushi restaurants we've been to. The sushi is delicious, the maki rolls have very thin layer of rice and huge amount of sushi in the middle - so delicious. We were so full from 2 maki special rolls: Tobiko roll and Beyond roll and the salmon poke don.
The service is fast but since it's busy, they're not as friendly. I only saw 2 girls running the floor; they could use another 1-2 other hands to assist.
Wish they did not charge for the green tea though; most sushi restaurants don't charge that.
There were 4 sushi chefs, amazing food!!!
Would definitely return if in the neighborhood of State College PA.

The best place to have rolls and sushi in SC! Definitely recommend! Also this place is wheelchair accessible. Lunch is about 15$ and good for 2 persons.
Ordered tobiko roll today, it was bland, no flavor at all.
Curry udon was good.
Service was mid.
Appetizers were good. Love the steamed shumai, but the sushi left a lot to be desired. I've had the udon here which was much better, but for the sushi the fish and rice tasted like it wasn't properly covered and dried out a bit. I'll still come back for the other stuff, just not sushi.
I was in today (1/1/25) for my birthday.
I was stationed in Sasebo, Japan a few years ago. Since I've been home, I've been yearning for a truly authentic Japanese restaurant. All others I've been to have been to were good, but seemed to be missing something.
I have not been in an establishment that felt authentic until today. From the moment I walked in the door it felt like I just walked off base and into the local restaurants.
The atmosphere, decor, smells, and the flavors were absolutely amazing. If I closed my eyes I really felt like I was back in Japan.
This place was above and beyond any and all expectations I had prior to entering.
The service was great, portions were awesome, and prices were very affordable and worth every penny.
Do NOT come here if you expect a good environment.
Long story short, the workers here are rude, ungrateful, and demanding.
To explain, the food is not terrible and would have a decent rating, the service is the huge problem. The waiter was in a hurry to ask what we wanted to eat and she did not even explain/answer the questions we had about the food. She had an attitude the entire time serving us which was strange due to the fact that we were being very kind to her but this could be explainable by long work days. In the midst of eating, we were given the bill very fast and carelessly. After finishing our food, we were very thrown off and usually we tip at restaurants but this waitress was just so off putting you didn’t even want to tip anymore. We decided to be kind and tip a good amount and while doing so I clicked the wrong value and she completely restarted the whole process saying no words and pulled back up the tip screen. When we successfully tipped, she still did not say thank you at all and quickly grabbed our card to charge it. Even once done, she did not say thank you at all and just walked away, whispering and looking over at us with her coworker. The paying is also very rushed and uncomfortable. This service was the worst service I have ever experienced in my life and needs to be overlooked.
