“Right on 30. Awesome bartenders. Clean rooms. Not sure why the negative comments. This please is the longest business in business still in thomasville. A must go to! It’s like cheers. May be a “hole in the wall” but it’s kept old school and the feeling is just cozy.“
“Superb food in a comfortable, upscale setting. I would make this one of my restaurants of choice for business meetings. I ordered the grouper and a Caesar salad. The fish was perfectly baked and seasoned, flaky and moist. The waiter brought my party a whole carafe of lemon water. Our seats by the window ensured our conversation wasn't overwhelmed by other restaurant patrons. No complaints. I'm looking forward to sampling some of their other dishes.“
“Service was great considering how crowded the place was. The waitress was quick and attentive. My dissapointment came in the misrepresented chicken Chesapeake. I asked for no cheese, not a big deal, when it came out with cheese I asked to have it fixed. No problem, it came back out with no cheese. Now it's naked crab meat on a chicken breast. I asked the sender who delivered it where is the imperial sauce ? The menu says it has it ? He took it back to the kitchen, came back out and said this is how they make it. Well the menu says it has imperial sauce on it ? Which is one of the yummy ingredients I was expecting. False advertising.... I'd try the place again, just wish the menu was correct.“
“My husband and I just had dinner there tonight. We enjoyed our food and definitely will be back. He had the smash burger with onion rings and he said it was very good. I had the smoke pulled pork and chicken plate and it was very good, especially with the Korean pepper BBQ sauce. We also brought home dinner for our son and he liked it too. Our only complaint is that there wasn't many onion rings or fries with the burgers, however the cost was definitely reasonable - we got an appetizer, iced tea, one beer, three meals, and added a 25% tip for $61, so that's really good.“
“This is our fourth time at Sidney. Each time has been unique and fantastic! I had the monkfish upon recommendation of our server (who was awesome) and it was beyond my expectations. I'm just sorry we don't live closer. We will be back the next time we are in Gettysburg!“
“This is one of the best bars I have ever been to. Great atmosphere and friendly staff, and I always seem to make a new friend everytime I step into the Rail Trail. The owners make you feel like family even if it's your first time. I always look forward to my next visit.“
“My husband I went here today in hopes to have a nice lunchtime meal. They tried sitting us at a super tiny high top table that was smashed up against an older couple at a low top table and we asked for another table in which they accommodated (my husband is 6'2 and 250lbs).Had a wonderful waitress who was attentive and refreshing.Ordered the tuna as an appetizer and it was delish. Kind of hard to mess that kind of dish up! My husband ordered the French onion soup which he said was really salty but he ate it with the bread. They had a cayenne honey butter available for the bread but I didnt particularly enjoy it. All i tasted was the cayenne after taste and really no honey or butter. I ordered the portabella mushroom entree which was really really good. He had the meatloaf which was good but he said wasn't worth the $24 price.Apologies for not taking pics of the entrees.“
“Second time here and continues to be very good. I had crab cakes and they were excellent. The crab soup was very good. I like supporting small local places like this. The bar is separate so no cigarette smoke at all in dining area. We will be back.“
“Our first visit to York and we're out bar hopping on the Friday of St. Paddy's Day weekend. First stop, Holy Hound Taproom. What don't I love about his place? ❤️Cool, old school bar with worn wood floors, tons of character, plenty of tall tables and good food. Our bartender, Ray, was crushing the cocktails I ordered, and the pork tacos were so good we ordered a second round, lol! Definitely make this a stop on your York bar tour. ?????“
“The Valley Tavern provides good regional food and drink in a 19th-century building. In fact, I enjoyed seeing several photos on the walls from "back in the day." The Tavern has both a busy bar section as well as a bight and comfortable dining room. The server expertly managed both sides of the operation. When I asked about beer on tap, she suggested the Perpetual IPA, which was the perfect start. The Maryland style crab soup was loaded with vegetables. My fried oyster platter was prepared just right so that I could easily taste the oysters. The pickled beets and Cole slaw were appropriate and tasty sides. I especially enjoyed the colorful farm animal artwork on the walls. Overall, a mist satisfying lunch.“
“This is a typical dive bar but it is an awesome place they have incredible food specials and deals however the bar is a bit Smokey and dated but that's kind of its charm I guess you can still get a steak and potatoes here for about $5 which is unheard of so I have to say even if you get to go food this place is well worth a “
“The food is outstanding to say the least. Recently discovered how too knotch if not one of the best places in Central Pa to get wings. If you like them extra crispy like I do then this is your spot. A lot of flavors to choose from and $10.95 is a super fair price right now for 10.“
“I am so glad I can here for a friends birthday. The mixologist, Kadee literally came up with an incredible drink every time he asked for something new... every drink. Great bartender and as others have said a hidden gem is an awesome way to put this place up“
“Had a great time. They have a separate area that is no smoking. The food was good. My only complaint was that the sub rolls are so skinny that they barely hold anything, making it very different to eat. It's like an open face sub with everything falling everywhere. It was like a very skinny French Baggett. At a bar, things should be easy to eat. I ate 1 of my husband's wings that he didn't like very much, and I thought it was the best ever.“
“The polenta with mushrooms topping was good tasting but not worth the price for corn base and a few zucchini and very light on the mushroom topping. Not worth the money. Needs at least a cup of mushrooms and zucchini side. The music was good.“
“Great little hometown bar! The new owners did an awesome job updating their inside to give it a more cozier atmosphere. The bartenders are wonderful and so are the locals. Definitely a place where you can enjoy a few drinks, share a few laughs and throw a game of darts. 10/10 would go there again ??“
“Murphys Hall is way bigger then what it looks like from outside. The music was amazing a live DJ was doing his thing pool tables and a ping pong table. The food was good with All kinds of drinks. Clean very mellow spot for the college kids (21-26)“
“Food is great! The wings haven't been matched. I have frequented this bar for years before and after the change in management. Service is usually pretty decent. Chad remembers your drink of choice and keeps them coming. Ambiance is good. I have to spend a few good dollars to play the music I enjoy listening to but that's ok, This is my go to spot for Happy Hr .“
“Indoor and outdoor seating. Very cozy place. I've never had a long wait. They have covered outdoor seating that even has heaters if you get cold. Service has always been wonderful. The mahi sandwich is fabulous. Great mac and cheese. Large portions of food. One of our favorite places to eat in York.“
“Is you live in Hanover you must, I mean must frequent this business. The food is amazing, the delivery is crazy fast and trust me when I say that Pop's Chips are the reason that potatoes exist. We order for delivery at least 12-15 times per year, I would double that amount of it were possible, these folks Rock. I am so glad to have yet another Hanover Pennsylvania business to support. Please try them out, I promise that you will be blown away.“
“Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! The food is delicious!! The restaurant itself is nice and a great vibe. I’ve came here a few times for dinner, they are always packed so make sure you get a reservation! Also, I have attended there daytime events and they are fun! Drinks are always on point too. The crab dip is to DIE FOR! It comes with garlic bread, what an awesome and yummy idea!“
“The two missing stars car because number one I thought the place was kind of noisy and B I always ask the waiter well how are you doing and he proceeded to tell us this long story about a car wreck he was in the day before.Overall it was a good experience, good food, decent price.Parking: There is a good amount of parking, what is kind of tight. But what are you going to do? Move the buildings on either side?“
“What a great place to unwind. The food is great, the beer and Frozen Crush's are really good. How about the entertainment! There is no place like this in the area. One more thing, the staff and servers are very friendly and make you feel at home.“
“I'm a long-time visitor of chilli's, I love the food, and the staff is always understanding and attentive. The only reason I rated the atmosphere a 1 is not because of the workers, but because my wife, and my 3 kids (under 5 mind you) and I were seated next to a larger party. The adults (4 or 5 in total) in this party were super obnoxious, and they let their kids (6 in total ages around 5 to 12) literally sit in the WINDOW ledges and STAND on the chairs and run around the table with little to no supervision. I understand that it was one of their birthdays, but that doesn't excuse poor parenting and obnoxious behavior ( for example, excessive volume in talking and yelling over one another) in a public setting. They created an unpleasant environment for my family and myself. I'm no "Karen," but there are some things that's should just be common sense. My 5 year old acted way more mature then all of them and that's saying a lot.“
“This is my watering hole from way back! They are like family at this point!!! We have been through the pandemic and a lot of craziness. They stay open until 2am which a lot bars no longer do around here. Friday and Saturday there is always a dj and never a cover. They run weekly specials and specials for football nights. This is my local favorite dive bar.“
“I've been to this location many times since moving to the area last fall and we always get great service, no matter who our server is. The food is good and it comes out hot.I don't remember the name of our server last night, but she was super awesome. My family was in from out of town and we were THAT table that asks for separate checks, changes their order, and asks to add additional food after our order comes out. She was super patient and our order was accurate and super tasty. This is definitely our go-to spot where everyone can find something they want on the menu and we know the service with be top tier!“
“This bar is smoking. Nice size bar and no complaints on staff. The owner is fantastic, and it's not surprising to see him behind the bar. They have 3 diamond pool tables that are typically open, but double check in case it's a pool league night. Food is typical bar food (i.e. burgers, nachos, etc) but still good.“
