“Stopped in for some lunch with my son after some golf, and it did not disappoint! Junior got the secret sauce rice bowl, and I got some wings for me and the family. The customer service was great and after a short we were able to enjoy our lunch! Great food all the way around, will be returning!“

“I liked their Seolleongtang (ox bone soup) and stone pot bimbimbop! Their banchan (side dish) was fresh and yummy. I liked how their seafood pancake was very fluffy and not too oily. But if you’re more into crunchy ones you might not like it!“
“Unique and delicious spot at the Upper Darby H Mart food court. Love to order their jajangmyeon (black bean noodles) takeout. Authentic and chewy with good size portions. Easy to call over the phone. Simple and well priced. Service is excellent.“

“Tucked away in the bustling food court of Upper Darby, Mong Shil Tong Tong is a hidden gem that offers an authentic taste of Korea. This cozy eatery serves up a delightful array of Korean dishes that are both traditional and innovative, capturing the essence of Korean cuisine with every bite. From the sizzling sounds of bulgogi on the grill to the comforting warmth of sundubu-jjigae (soft tofu stew), the menu is a testament to the rich culinary heritage of Korea. The restaurant’s commitment to quality and flavor is evident in their popular dishes like the cheese ddeokbokki and crispy cutlet, which are praised for their generous portions and homestyle taste. The friendly atmosphere and the personal touch of service make Mong Shil Tong Tong not just a meal, but a cultural experience that leaves diners longing for more. ?️??“

“The only other spot that I'm aware of the does wood charcoal Korean bbq is Kim's Restaurant( Kim's BBQ) in the Olney section of North Philly. The prices here at Nagwon Garden are way more affordable. Wood charcoal adds a nice flavor to the meat. Most other places use either electric or gas table grills. The other thing is, when you call them, the lady answers in Korean. They don't advertise that they use wood charcoal in English, only in Korean. So you know it's an authentic and legit experience! Take it from a Korean person.“

“I'm not sure what others do to hate this place so much, but I go on a fairly consistent basis, and I've been over 10 times now within the last 3 years. Most recent was a few days ago on my birthday. Every server we've ever had has always been extremely nice. Maybe a bit of a language barrier sometimes, but nothing a little patience can't get through. The cost of everything is insanely high right now, so the fact I can eat as much as I want of ANYTHING for under $50 is a pretty good deal in my opinion. What finally made me leave a review now, is that it makes me sad to see such nasty reviews, as my most recent experience was my favorite. Their kimchi is my favorite, and when we were done ordering meat, we asked if we could yet just a little more kimchi, I told her because it's the best ? she said of course, and brought over an entire chunk, cut it right in front of us, and put some in containers for us to take home. It was so sweet, and as minor as it may sound, it really made my day. That being said, if you're turned off by the prices, or don't have the patience to take a little extra time to communicate with someone, save them your attitude and go somewhere else.“

“Not many Korean places in Philadelphia alone and the bulgogi tasted beautifully. The perfect traditional marination.“

“Delicious food, friendly service, quick turnaround time, and very fair prices.
The dine-in setup is very casual — there is table service but you order/pay at the counter & self-serve water. There is a lot of natural light inside, a good view of the sidewalk to people-watch, and the two folks running the restaurant while I was there (possibly the owners) were phenomenally gracious hosts. There is a cold case of to-go snacks and drinks. The rice balls are a must try!
Having tried the chicken galbi lunch box and the squid dolsot, I can enthusiastically recommend both, but the dolsot was truly the star of the show in my opinion. The combination of buttery squid, jammy egg, umami & spicy sauce, veggie mix, and that crispy caramelized rice at the bottom is just absolutely magical.
This is an absolute gem of a restaurant.“

“The food (bulgogi birria tacos with salsa Verde and a side of churros) was fresh, well portioned, incredible tasting, perfect in texture, and drippy in the right way. The churros have a caramel sauce I can't wait to try but I downed all 3 tacos. Thank you!!“

“Wanted to try something different and everything that I saw coming from there had looked good and the smell made your stomach growl. I had the "stir frie noodles" with beef and the spicy 🌶 chicken wings. They were both wonderful! I throughly enjoyed my meal and would definitely go back there again! So glad I tried them!“

“First time trying Korean bbq. Our waitress Esther was super sweet and explained everything to a T. The marinated beef and chicken were tasty and the short rib she suggested was delish. We’ll definitely be returning. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“I bought takeout here when I was living at the nearby Motto/Hilton. Probably the best takeout Korean food I’ve had. The folks who work here were also super friendly. They explained all the differences between the different dishes (bento vs rice plate vs cup bap) and gave me their recommendation as well. Highly recommend, and thanks to the staff for the service.“

“This place is great! I passed by so many times then one day finally tried it. I was amazed & dreamed about that burger. So good. Koreans can cook well I should know lol. Everytime I go it’s passed the operating hours now though so sadly it’s been a while but I wont miss it next time. Yummmm. People inside are really nice as well“

“We called the night before and made reservations for our party of 6 for lunch at 1:30 PM on Saturday (today). We arrived early and we’re seated immediately. Food was delicious and service was friendly and courteous. We had a mix of starters (beef jap chae, Korean fried chicken, Dakgangjeong & chili calamari), entrees (bulgogi, 2 Dolsot Bibimbop & ramen), table bbq (Joo Mul Luk Marinated ribeye & Samgyupsal Thinly sliced pork belly), and drinks. Entrees and table bbq comes with white rice, ban Chan, and veggies. We ate everything and we’re satisfied with happy bellies. The restaurant is quaint, nice atmosphere, and clean. Metered parking is available in front of restaurant. We recommend trying this place, and will be back again.“

“It was fun trying different kind of brewed beer on tap. You can choose 4 kinds of beer from the menu. I like light beer and enjoyed light lager and pilsner ❤️
Burger was so juicy and so tasteful. Also there's no sports blaring on TV so you can enjoy conversation. Pizza was so good including the dough so I ate all the crust. I'll definitely come back here often?“

“This spot was great! The friend were really crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The sandwich was really flavorful and rich, and didn't have that "old oil" taste. I also got the boneless chicken batch which is a liiiittle pricy but also great. I believe the chicken used was thigh which is extra juicy. I have had a lot of Korean fried chicken spots in the area and this one is my new favorite by a long shot.
For non fried chicken options, the bulgogi beef was really really fantastic and rich.“

“The chicken is amazing! Be prepared to spend$$$. We also ordered chicken fried rice, it was ok but the portion was so small for $11+, it’s rice, no need to be cheap!“

“The honey soy garlic Korean fried Chicken was some of the best I have ever had, if not the best. The Banchan was very good. The Pickled Chayote and Radish (Mu) were the stars for me. The Kimchi was good, but a little too spicy for me (I should've put in on the grill and cooked it a bit). The corn-cheese sausage as amazing. The Brisket was amazing. Pork belly was very good too, but I wish they had some Shiso or Red Leaf, so I could make a ssam. The ssamjang was very doenjang forward. Not sure if they have more than one type, but I prefer mine with more gochujang. Overall, Pocha Street is a must try.“
